I took my car into Aamco because of hard shifting into gear. A representative took the vehicle for a test drive and told me I needed a new clutch. I scheduled service for the next day and had to give a deposit before any work was done. I called at 3 in the afternoon and was told that the car was ready. I took possession of the vehicle and drove back to work only to find that the original problem still existed (along with other rattles that I didn’t have previously). I took the car right back to the facility and was told that the car was old and had problems in the linkage. Why wasn’t this told to me in the beginning? This has caused me a great financial setback and I still don’t have a dependable car to commute to work with. If these people are supposed to be transmission specialists, why couldn’t they diagnose this problem from the outset? I believe that the clutch was replaced but I still have the original problem. In my opinion I would have to say that this facility provides shoddy workmanship. I will never give business to this facility again. Please, do not give your business to this establishment. They are rip offs! Brain Rhinebeck, New YorkU.S.A.
