Report Filed: Brown Hand Center Fraudulent Billing & Poor Results Bedford Texas!!
Had Carpal Tunnel surgery performed in the Bedford, TX office in mid March. When talking with the finance administrator gave all my insurance information prior to arriving for initial exam. She told me pricing for doing the surgeries with my insurance on both hands would be approximately $2,150 including the one area she did not bill directly, which was the anesthesia. She estimated that to be $600. Consequently I was expecting a $1550 bill from Brown Hand Center. After the surgeries I discovered they were billing a total of over $150,000 to my insurance company for what amounted to two outpatient surgeries each totaling about 30 minutes. I received a bill today for close to $100,000 of which insurance hopefully will cover some portion. After dealing with them I believe they are set up in business to milk your insurance for massive claims for what I could only consider to be exorbantant and fraudulent. And they seem to push other procedures and prescriptions that are billed at very excessive amounts to the insurance. Those included pain relieving creme and a electrical stimulation machine. Looking for any additional patients that may have been wronged in this manner.
