BAIT AND SWITCH- I turned in my Nissan Leaf lease 2 months early so I could get a new car. My salesman, Sig, told me there would be NO charges or penalties as long as I paid the last two months of the lease – which I did. A few week later, I got a bill for $1054.00 from Nissan. Issue one: I checked over the car with the list of their rules for what exceeds u201cevery day wear and tearu201d. Wish Iu2019d taken photos, because they are charging me over $600 in wear and tear – it should be half that. Issue two: I took in my Leaf for a warranty repair because the cheap and flimsy little door handle cover was coming off. They said they didn’t have the part. So Nissan is charging me for breaking the door handle – which I tried to get them to fix under warranty. Then manager at Nissan would not take the charge off- he said these actual words, “I can’t absorb that just because we didn’t have the part.”” Issue three: I ended up buying a Honda next door at their Honda dealership.
