Some 5 years ago, I somehow signed up to a newsletter by Gary Ambrose, managing List Wire. I have gotten spam along the years and I was never able to unsubscribe from his list. But recently, I started getting tons of spam. Not only from Gary himself but from many others. The language can be very aggressive, promising enormous hype and from time to time truly offending. I have tried to unsubscribe from List Wire many times but it doesn’t work. There is no way to contact List Wire. Instead, you are moved to very aggressive marketing websites. On one of the website, I can learn that List Wire is very advanced and totally free. Forever and with no return. Gary Ambrose is doing all this for the good of humankind. Since I have started getting Gary Ambrose spam in the name of other people, my guess is that the “business model”” builds on getting people to sign up on List Wire to do mailings and Gary Ambrose uses other peoples’ account to send his spam. I get the same offensive messages from perhaps half a dozen or a dozen addresses.”
