Report Filed: Hometown Resturaunt Dawn I was charged more then other customers for the same item Lagrange Indiana!!
Dawn asked me several times if was a senior citizen. I told Dawn I was not and we even had a discussion about whether or not it insulted me. The first time it did not insult me. I joked with her several times and told her I was whatever she wanted me to be. The umpteenth time I was asked, I took the senior discount. I continued to take the senior discount until one day she told me someone made her aware I was not a senior and I had led her to beleive I was a senior. Duh I had told her repeatedly. I told her this and she got mad and told me she did not need this. My first instinct was not to return. I do like Dawns husband who had always been cordial. I felt that 10% for an extremely loyal customer was not too much of a discount for them to offer to me. I went back because their biscuits and gravy are really good. My daughter and I had gone in several times and shared a nacho supreme. I always ask for the veggies on the side and poppy seed dressing, along with grated cheese on top of the veggies and the other cheese meat and chips together. This has always cost me 5.25 I did not ask for any extras except for the poppy seed dressing just what came with the nachos. Yesterday when we ordered the same item, I was charged almost 8 dollars. I am on a limited income and I only had 6 dollars with me. Dawn did this in essence because she wanted to re-coup what I had gotten on the senior discount. I told Dawn hey this is too much, she told me it was all the extras I had asked for she was charging me for. I had not asked for anything extra only what normally comes with the meal on a seperate plate. Dawn told me she would only charge me the 5.25 this time, but to understand the next time that I would have to pay more. I told Dawn I did not have to pay more the next time because there would not be a next time. I would go to the establishment where one of her ex-waitresses worked that she had fired for no apparent reason. I also told her sometimes in business you need to treat loyal customers with a little respect and she responded I also needed to treat the establishment with respect. I do not feel I was wrong to take the senior discount as I had been insulted on a regular basis. Other establishments in Lagrange give me a discount on a regular basis because I am a good customer with a limited income. Lola Lagrange, IndianaU.S.A.
