I took my lap top to “Laptops Plus”” to have the DC jack repaired. I paid $322.00 for the repair. Within three weeks the DC jack they had repaired was becoming loose and not making a good connection with the AC adapter. As I attempted to plug in the AC adapter I noticed a spark that came from the DC jack. I took the lap top back withing a couple of weeks and was given a service order that stated “”under warranty””. Upon inspection the store determined that my system board had fried as a result of the short from the DC jack they repaired. I was also told a new system board could cost anywhere from $800-$1
