First off, I should have known better. I did a Google search for a Chi Flat Iron to see where I could get the best bargain. My Top Chi advertises 70% cheaper than other retailers… 1st mistake… I ordered from company, paid through PayPal, and received my Chi Flat Iron in about 3 weeks. I plugged in and it didn’t work, went to website to get a number to call and….Chinese woman answered the phone, told me to file return request on Internet. Which I did. No response via email or phone. After 7 days, I filed a dispute with PayPal in the hopes that seller would respond. They did, said to return item and they would replace. Their website AND his email did not have address to send returns to. I email again through PayPal, finally they gave me return address….China. Okay…now I realize my mistake of not investigating company better. I thought that by purchasing through PayPal, my purchase would be protected.. Not So…PayPal, which that should be another complaint, said they couldn’t help. But I might want to file a complaint with FBI for Internet fraud (as now I suspect Chi is knockoff). Which I did…called PayPal again, they said to go to my bank and see if my bank would file a claim against PayPal to get my money back. I have called My Top Chi and every time, woman says, call back in 10 hours when it is daylight in China.. I email and leave phone messages, which in email they promised to return my money, but so far, no money.. Lesson learned the hard way. INVESTIGATE every Internet website throughly, do not trust PayPal to assist you in getting your funds back….and always buy AMERICAN….
