In 2021, a young woman named Monique Munoz was killed by a drunk motorist. Brendan Khuri, son of James Khuri, operated the vehicle. Even though it was a bad situation, James’ actions just made it worse. For those who don’t know, James is the owner of FJ Holdings.
James Khuri, an expert in operating an online business, didn’t want any negative news to follow him around. As a result, the owner of Khuri Enterprises started spending a lot of money on effective PR to maintain his reputation.
This is not only incredibly selfish but also insensitive. It demonstrates James Khuri’s true thought process.
Exactly what happened- Detailing about the automobile crash
Brendan Khuri, who was 17 at the time of the collision, hit Monique Munoz while operating a $200,000 Lamborghini at around 100 mph.
The event happened near the 10700 block of West Olympic Boulevard, east of Overland Avenue. It wasn’t immediately apparent what led to the crash.
Isaac Cardona, Munoz’s stepfather, saw a youth traveling down the street in a Lamborghini at 120 mph. He struck her, killing her. The behaviors, according to Isaac, were ludicrous.
Munoz was pronounced dead at the spot as others took Brendan to the hospital.
The authorities initially hid the name of the reckless driver due to his age. He was quickly recognized as James Khuri, proprietor of Khuri Enterprises.
What is Fake PR
If you succumb to what is referred to as “false PR,” you face the risk of losing the “trust factor” with your clients and prospects. Fake PR is still mostly unknown, even though false news has become widely accepted. If you are not careful, this form of deception could harm your reputation, business, and credibility. One false statement might diminish the perceived value of every other accomplishment you’ve worked hard to achieve throughout your career. And if your false PR is discovered, it could land you in serious trouble as a financial representative with regulatory agencies.

Even though the accident was terrible, the district attorney’s handling of it all was even worse. The investigating district attorney delayed filing charges for a while. A sizable group of people who had come together after losing loved ones to careless driving was outraged by this.
To draw attention to this problem, the hashtag #justiceformonique was launched. They also requested that the young driver, potentially together with the parents, be held accountable.
Legal authorities claimed that by failing to act like a DA and instead adopting a misdirected soft approach to the crime, the DA was putting the lives of the neighborhood’s citizens in jeopardy. He was re-victimizing the victims’ families by doing so.
Unreasonable, no doubt, was the DA’s leniency shown to the CEO of Khuri Enterprises and his son.
The DA had James’ son under arrest for the crime, but no charges were brought. He continued to monitor it.
Surprisingly, FJ Holdings didn’t face any repercussions for such criminal acts of its owner as well.
Absolute Ignorance of the Victims by the CEO of FJ Holdings
Several conversations regarding reckless driving were sparked by Munoz’s passing and the actions of the owner of Khuri Enterprises. But, things reached a breaking point when the victim’s family organized a Cruise Night Protest.
They held the protest to plead for justice.
James Khuri was unaffected, though. He went to a party for his photographer and blogged about it online rather than getting in touch with the victim’s family or even keeping quiet.
His post’s caption read, “I hope you had a great birthday last night!!! I did”. James, undoubtedly, didn’t give a damn about the victim of his son’s careless driving.
Munoz’s family then launched a GoFundMe effort to gather money. They demanded justice because the DA was in action. He wasn’t filing any charges, and it appeared that he wouldn’t either in the future.
Sadly, that’s not all. The Khuri Enterprises CEO utilized several unethical business tactics to clear his name.
FJ Holdings and its PR are being used to bury the news.
James Khuri didn’t want this event to be recalled. Perhaps he was concerned that it might hurt his business or “his reputation.” He then began spending a lot on sponsored PR and internet marketing to generate favorable searches for his name.
Suddenly, a ton of uplifting stories praising him and his business, Khuri Enterprises, appeared online.
One of the PR articles was about lavish lifestyle of the FJ Holdings owner and his fast cars:
Here’s an excerpt from another online sponsored PR piece he published:
According to one story, his almost one million fans appreciate witnessing a “passionate Lamborghini owner.” What an irony.
He was boasting in his PR articles about how his Lamborghini killed an innocent young woman.
To further hide the story, he published some articles under the name of his business, Khuri Enterprises.
The FJ Holdings CEO began sharing a lot of content on Instagram in addition to producing uplifting PR articles. In the comments, everyone who brought up Munoz or the event was promptly blocked.
Some thought the FJ Holdings owner had employed a marketing crew to keep an eye on his Instagram feed and make sure nothing unfavorable was posted there.
Remember that his main intention with these posts was to distract people from the tragic vehicle collision.
Jimmy also has a track record. He was detained for domestic violence in 2019.
What to conclude about Khuri Family!!
If we describe the Khuri family as criminals, we will be understating the case. They misused their wealth and power in addition to taking a young life. I beg you all to give this some serious thought. A POC who did something similar in the opposite direction would face a 10-year prison sentence. Yet, Brendan received no repercussions for his acts due to their familial connections.
If they are not held accountable, it will be a reflection on the state of our nation and a sign that even in the most powerful nation on earth, bigotry, and power abuse are still pervasive.
FJ Holdings and its owner didn’t face any consequences as well.
2023 FJ Holdings Evaluation Conclusion:
Although careless driving is a serious issue, the unfair treatment of the wealthy by the law is even worse. The proprietor of FJ Holdings exploited his riches and prosperity to shield his son from the repercussions of his behavior.
Also, he made every effort to ensure that no one remembered Munoz’s passing. He didn’t want even a small stain on his reputation as an “internet business master.”
This demonstrates how incredibly egotistical and greedy he is. Consider these ideas when interacting with Khuri Enterprises. It would be best if you stayed away from Khuri Enterprises.
James Khuri, the CEO of FJ Holdings, has invested a substantial sum of money to hide his son’s criminal activity. It would be ideal if we could all speak out against this self-serving abuse of the law.

Regarding the spread of fake news and the downplaying of fact-based pieces, social media has played an incredibly disappointing and, one might even say, detrimental, role. The negative impacts of fake news have broad ramifications for both society at large and the business world, imposing heavy obligations on PR to refute the lies aimed at their brands with well-developed solutions.
Yet, if PR approaches this difficulty with caution, it may be turned into a fantastic chance to gain the community’s faith in their brand by assuring rigor in publications and all audience communications, which has always been the ultimate objective of all PR efforts.
Beware of FJ Holdings and any of its affiliations.
