Former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly deems the network’s decision to cut ties with prime-time host Tucker Carlson a “terrible move.”

Kelly also stated that she believed Fox pushed the issue, though she admitted that this was a “supposition” on her part.
Kelly stated on SiriusXM’s “The Megyn Kelly Show”: “This is a terrible move by Fox and a great thing for Tucker Carlson.”
“I have no idea why Fox News made this judgment. And it was evidently the decision of Fox News, as they are not allowing him to say farewell,” she said. “That is my assumption. That is not inside information… Again, you have misjudged your audience.”
Fox announced on Monday that it had severed ways with Carlson, widely regarded as the nation’s most influential conservative journalist. The top-rated show hosted by Tucker Carlson averaged nearly 3 million viewers per night, far more than any other cable program.
Friday was the last broadcast for Carlson.
On Monday, a Fox anchor disclosed Carlson’s departure, stating that the two parties had “mutually” decided to part ways.
Fox has not commented on Carlson’s departure beyond a statement saying it wanted to “thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”
Kelly departed Fox in 2017 and has since been critical of the network. She currently presents a popular podcast for conservative audiences.
