Gentleman from Klaten in Indonesia, its on Java, has old harleys for sale (sic). Sends over some amazing pictures and claims to be a motor cycle mechanic, sends you a picture of his identity card, no 331002020800003. You would not beleave how good the motorcyles look. Naturally this starts the alarm bells ringing. Prices, $6,000 for a 1941 wla seem cheap but hey you have import duties shipping etc so could be believable ! Story starts to break down whn you are told that bikes are not registered, strange when one has a registration number (indonesian) visible. Told that you will get full police certificate etc. Engine numbers have strange perculiarities, but could just be a typo ? He sends a picture of his Garage, it seems rather large for such a small town ? But the Bikes do look wonderful….. So you ask the questions, Name me a customer that you have supplied in europe or states ? whats the name of the shipping agent? Send me a picture of you by the bike ! No more replies !!!! Be Warned. I am filing this since I read that someone has filed a report about a con-artist in Yogikarta using a similar scam. Klaten is a 1 hour train journey away ! Les londonUnited Kingdom
