I bought my first Audi a couple months ago, I was so excited back then, and I still want my car, but it’s not worth keeping it if I have to deal with the service that comes with the name. I had literally had my car for only a week, and now they’ve had it for longer than I did, my Q5 it’s been sitting on their parking lots for almost 2 months, and it doesn’t seem like it would be out anytime soon. I got an e-mail with an offer to get a free rotation (said would expire in a year), and 30% off any parts replacement within the next 4 months. It was honestly a great offer to me, so I obviously kept the mail. The 7th day after I bought the car, I had to take it in for a checkup since the engine light was on, there was also a charred smell coming out of the back. I told them about my coupon, they said that, if the car needed any new parts, I could use the coupon. 2 days went by, and I had not heard anything about it, I had to call them all day to have someone finally answer right before the closing time (it was Friday). So, David said the car was still pending for the checkup, they’d call me once they had the results, which probably wouldn’t be until Monday. 4 days without my car already, I called them again, this time they picked up faster, my car had been diagnosed, the first quote they gave me stated $500. When I demanded to know what was wrong with my car, the person on the phone said they would have the technician call me to explain it better. No signs of the technician. I was too busy at the time, and not having my car made things even worse, so I wasn’t able to call them until the next week, we’re at 12 days without my car now. I called them, they apologized (didn’t offer me any sort of accommodation or signs of real regret) and told me the car would be ready by the next day. As discussed, I went to Jim Ellis’ and found no one to receive me, waited 45 minutes for the service manager to finally have me, just to tell me that my car wasn’t ready, and actually, it would take another week. I requested to have the GM call me so I could explain the whole situation, because honestly, at this point, it was ridiculous. He never called; instead, they gave me just another pleasant news. After 17 days they called me saying that the total cost was over $2000, I told them about the discount, and they replied: “you should’ve told us about it sooner, now it’s too late to include it”, and now I am just trying to make them give me all my money back for every legal mean I can find, they made me waste plenty of time, I won’t let them take my money as well.
