Baseline Limo LLC

This company was booked to provide Limo services for my sisters wedding in Baltimore, MD on 10/10/14. The contract was booked with the first pick up time of 4pm of the groom and groomsmen. The limo was to drop them at the church and then proceed to pick up the bride and bridesmaids at 5:15pm for a 5:30 drop off time at the church. The wedding was scheduled to start at 6:00pm. The limo did not arrive at the first pick up location until 5:30pm. This resulted in NO pickup at all of the bride and bridesmaids. The groom and groomsmen did not reach the church until 6:38pm which caused the wedding to start at 7pm. One hour behind schedule. The one hour late start of the ceremony caused everything else to run severly behind schedule. The reception started 1hr late which caused the bride and groom to lose over $3,000.00 in services paid for at their reception venue.We spoke with Mr. Alfaro the night of the wedding and again a few days after to request a refund of some of the monies paid since he was extremely late and single handedly ruined the bride and grooms day. Mr. Alfaro advised us that his policy states “Baseline Limos shall not be held responsible for late arrival caused by (but not limited to) acts of nature, traffic delays, breakdown, incorrect pickup and drop-off information, and any situation beyond our control.” I understand limo companies having this in their policy in case they run into issues after they have picked up their customers at the contracted time but never have I heard of a company using that policy to justify themselves being late. A legitimate business will plan so that they are on time especially for an event such as a wedding. Mr. Alfaro arrived in jeans and a regular shirt – no suit or tie as customary for limo drivers for a wedding. I would like all brides and grooms and anyone out there to know this company is a ripoff. They will take your money, show up hours late, ruin your day and simply say “our policy covers us” so deal with it. The groom was communicating with Mr. Alfaro the day of the wedding and he advised the groom at 3:18pm he was 30 minutes away from him but still did not arrive until 5:30pm.
