Expect to receive NEITHER good service, NOR honesty from BP’s Auto Club employees. Late in the evening of 09/12/2015, I experienced a tire failure on the Florida Turnpike. This should have been a simple, perfunctory service call, but instead, different employees placed me on hold or hung-up no less than four times within an hour. One “supervisor” said he would stay on the phone with me until he could confirm that help would be dispatched. That never happened. Finally, after an hour-and-a half, another rep said that no contracted service provider would be willing to handle any call on the turnpike. | In other words, I might as well have slept in the vehicle because they were never going to help out to me. Eventually, help from State Farm Safety Patrol arrived, and my tire was changed out in less than 30 minutes. The point is, what good is auto club, when its reps and service providers won’t provide even the most basic services? No excuse in the world can justify jerking a member around that way in a time of need. If this had been winter time up north, I would have been in a real–possibly life-threatening fix. Before you decide on an auto club, remember this because the same mistreatment may actually happen to you!
