Purchased a brand spanking new 2007 Chevrolet Aveo from Brent Brown Chevrolet on Jan 20, 2007. Feb 2, 2007, goes into dealer service as airbag was malfuctioning. (mucho importante safety feature-can’t have cars w/o them) Mar 8, 2007, car still in shop. Hey, it’s a lemon, right? Utah govt. says 4x in shop for same repair OR 30 days in shop. I’m the 30 dayer. I ask for repair, exchange, or refund. Brent Brown says, no repair (no fix as is design problem w/ GM)no exchange, no refund. Chevrolet was called in. They say no repair as “no known fix”, no exchange, no refund. What? Someone in America buys a 15k product and it is returned in 2 weeks and there is no remedy? Oh, get this…. GM (Chevrolet) will give me a refund…IF… I purchase a pricier model… as in fork out more thousands of dollars. GM will make out, Brent Brown will DEFINETLY make out, I would loose. I told them that if I could have afforded a 16k car, I would have purchased one in the first place! So, they are attempting to extort money from me by saying a refund will only be given if I pay MORE money. It’s off to arbitration! And if that doesn’t work (as they are bound by the ruling…I am not) Court. But how could I not win? I’m sure they will figure out a scheme. Martina Provo, UtahU.S.A.
