The card is issued by Comerica Bank, they said they would have to take me out of the system and reenter my info. since then they have sent me 2 new cads that never worked. the one I have now works, but I am still recieving paper checks in the mail. 8/03/2017 my social security benefits were put into my account, 23 mins later I had all of my social security transferred out of my account my a IVR, I immediately called them on the phone and my pin was not working I had to take the time to renter a new pin, finally got someone on the phone, asked them to stop the transfer, since I didn”t authorize it, she said she didn”t like my tone with her and now she needed to verify who I was, she was rude, I told her to tansfwr me to someone who could help me and she hung up, I called back got level 2 got the paperwork being mailed, and a new card on the way, I”ve made. Police report and the officer looked direct express up on her computer and said that she advised I Google them that there was a number of complaints about money missing that”s unresolved. I am 3500 miles away visiting my parents with dementia, I keep calling direct express, to be told that the money was probably stolen by my parents, or someone I knew with my info. I do not give my card to anybody, I don”t give me pin out, or have it written down anyplace. I have contacted Comerica bank who says they only issue the cards to direct express but he would transfer me to direct express to be hung up on again. I have called direct express 42 times today to be hung up on or told that they have alot of callers. I have been with Direct Express for 10yrs and they have always had my money on time. I read so many post no body gets a provisional credit, or gets refunded even though the are fdi insured. I was on hold yesterday with social security for an hour and 20 mins to have social security only tell me they deposited the money, to take it up with Direct Express about my funds, there is no such place a IVR money transfer. It”s done in house meaning someone from direct express to top it off they even charged me the 1.50 transfer fee. Anybody that has any info that can help me, I did get a merchant ID but the police couldn”t even seem to find the merchant. I am 3500 miles away from home. As of Sunday I will no longer have a motel room, I have borrowed money to eat, I have no car, I was waiting for this money to make a reservation plane ticket home. I am in Riverside county, CA and I live in Florida!! Beware everyone I will be changing debit cards if this isn”t resolved by Sunday.

Card was stolen, I was charged 13 dollars to have a new card shipped UPS overnight. Card hasn’t arrived 3 days later and I can’t speak to a live person. If I press 1 in the menu during the card status report it says “please hold while you are being transferred ” then hangs up on me. I have tried 34 times to reach them. Direct Express is shockingly mismanaged. After my Direct Express card was stolen by a Direct Express debit card machine (labeled Comerica), they allowed $1500 to be taken from my social security funds until the balance was $0. Then, after trying to reach them by calling 10 hours a day for DAYS but their automated system almost never connects me to a live person and when I do finally reach a live human, they usually have an archaic process that results in NO help and they all say “you have to speak to a different department” then they either hang up on me or transfer me into another hold queue for HOURS or until they eventually just hang up on me because THEY took too long to connect me to a human. Their automated system seems to find reasons to hang up on me and the humans do the same as well. They should have a normal Dispute process which is all done online or through an online portal and allow the dispute to be initiated through a web interface but instead after wasting a week trying to reach a human, the human barely speaks any English which delays the process as well and then they say they can’t issue any credit back for the money THEY allowed someone to steal from me UNTIL they send me a paper mail to them and then they lost it when I sent it back and also uploaded it online but they lost that paper dispute. Now it’s been over a month and now that I finally reached a human again, she says we have to start over again and she is going to mail me the form AGAIN because apparently they AGAIN lost the one I mailed back to them plus to be safe I had also uploaded it electronically AND also emailed it to them. But after an hour she still acted like she has no idea that I have done all of this already and she insisted I must start all over again and “no I can not give you a provisional credit” for the money that THEY allowed someone to steal from me. Other banks do all of this instantly on the phone and the cash is back in an account instantly for any disputed transactions. But they wast my time and their times for over 45 days, 7/24 and still no help and no return of my social security Disablities funds that disappeared from my account due to THEIR errors. I will soon be evicted from my home if they don’t return my money to me . The bottom line is it’s been over a month and no money and shockingly incompetent customer service and dispute process and staff that doesn’t seem to understand English.

I called in to replace my card. First of all they send me two cards with two separate balances on them when I signed up for one. I dealt with because it takes 30days for your funds to go on the card. Now one of my cards had been damaged and I call to report this. I specifically told them to cancel out both cards and to put my benefits on one card. The customer service rep acts dumb founded for a while like he don”t understand what I”m trying to do he finally catches on and tell me both cards are now canceled I have to wait for my new card to activate. I contacted direct express customer service because i had noticed several transactions not mine. A gentleman took down my dispute information what transactions that I never authorized, if I had gave anyone my card (which I never have) if I wrote my pin on the card (which I never did) etc. Well in the conversation I’ve notice the rep was not being attentive to my claim. I would repeat myself when he asked me for my address. I asked he to repeat my address several times, please if anyone can pull that phone call it would help out tremendously. He kept giving wrong information. Finally when I thought he had my address right. Well he didn’t, the documents were not sent out on time & when I called in to Direct express to ask what’s taking so long for them to be received well my address was incorrect. After I gave yet, again my address was given apologies from here to Tim buck two. That it wouldn’t affect a provisional credit. Well it has and did. I have no opportunity to receive that credit now. I finally got through on 8/12/19 4:45pm while on hold for 42 mins. Good luck actually trying to get through to a person. There was a charge on my card (I am my dad guardian) this is where his ss money goes (tomorrow I will be going to my bank & opening him an account & then going to ss office & changing where his money goes into) I will never ever have money put into this account again or do any business. I finally received my back pay from social security they put it in my direct express account and when we try and access it to no avail! I spoke with a supervisor who was ridiculously rude named Johnathon, said there was nothing he could do and I would have to wait on hold for the fraud team. I get monthly Social Security Disability checks. Along with my paper check I get a notice stating that by law I must use direct deposit to continue to receive my benefits. OMe of the companies they suggest is DirectExpress. I first ordered my DirectExpress card in December and they said it takes about 2 cycles in order for the direct deposit to begin. After I received 4 more paper checks I called and they assured me that the next check will go through. It didn”t. So I asked to speak to a manager and wanted their promise that it will go through. She said that she couldn”t garuntee that. So I had them cancel the worthless card they mailed to me. Instead I went to a credit union who set me up in 2 days and no problems with direct deposit. I don”t know why something so simple and so essential to DirectExpress” exististence was difficult for them and every time I would call no one would know why the payments weren”t going through.

I had $543.00 drained from my Direct express account and have tried for two days non stop to try and file a claim with their dispute dept. only to hear “we have a high call volume, please try again” or to be hung up on. I have a limited amount of resources and they let my acount be completely drained and there is no way to file a complaint! I have made complaints to the BBB and I would suggest everyone else do the same. Also call the bank on the back of the card and complain. Call the US Treasury Dept as well. Don”t let them basically steal our money and get away with it. If my problem is not resolved I will be contacting the local news station as it seems this is direct Express way of dealing with it. Ignore the complaint and maybe it will go away. They are FDIC our money should be protected. I really wish that the Treasury Dept would get another provider.

i had to call and request a direct express agent and i had recieved a attitude from 3 different agents on the date of the 9th of august because i need to make a rent payment and i also could not understand them at all either. there is no way i could choose the option to recieve a card statement in the mail option anyway. please send monthly card transaction statements in the mail to 623 silverLeaf drive lexington, kentucky 40505 Unit B asap. before the 14th of this month. plus my rent will start going up to 750 a month and i have 8 other bills i need to pay and 4 of those are my daily usage bills for gas, water, electric and windstream bill.

I have already complained about social security benefits that someone is taking money off my card.I do know that it is illegal for anyone to have my card number and social sercurity number.This is a docket#246, Albany county family court.I hope you investigate that docket number.I want the person who has been illegally taking money off my card arrested.My personal information is private no one should have my information.I have had to order new cards because of this and i might have to get a new social sercurity number.The date that the money was taken off was july 9, 2018.my card number is [protected].I want everything that was stolen off my card back.

I have been calling you for 4 days trying to report my card stolen you push the options and then it hangs up on you you never get to speak to a live person now the card is being used money is being taken and you cannot speak to somebody about it it is completely insane the disability stated this is the best and safest way to get your check but when somebody steals it who cares because nobody’s going to talk to you about it I can understand that the high call volume happens but I have called every hour for 4 days there is no way that many people are calling

I have been dealing with DirectExpress since November 27 2019 regarding a fraud block on my DirectExpress card. I have done everything asked of me, as well as the Social Security Administration who loaded my benefit onto my card on November 25 2018. DirectExpress blocked my online access December 15 2019. I have been (and now I cannot) check my balance everyday & took a screenshot showing balance & date. S.S.A. called me at 8:30am this morning to inform me block will be removed in 24 hrs. I had premature excitement that this financial terrorism was over. I spoke to a (new) supervisor Bertha who told me since the fraud happened via internet access, DirectExpress has blocked my card AND my internet access. Bertha explained the M.O.U. I signed & S.S.A. faxed on November 17 to Comerica Attn: N. D. Red was not received. This was the FOURTH M.O.U. faxed since November 25 to December 17 2019!! I will not post publicly the amount of money I have lost for fear of more scams & fraudulent activity. I am now addressing my grievances legally and publicly.

I have been ripped off by someone that has access to my account via ivr money transfer. The issue for me is this isn’t the first time! I’ve never given anyone my pin number and I keep my card hidden, but I am still being taken advantage of. I have been trying to get a new password for my Direct Express Account from the Coamerica Bank, when I try to change it the user name and image is right, but when I request a new password andI get a temporary password to put in to my account to set up new password I get password and user do not match. I have tried to call customer service several times for help, all I get is a big run around to call different numbers for help and I don’t get any help all get is an automated voice recording giving me information about deposits and transactions. I have called for over 24 hour to report my damage card. I keep getting a recording saying that they have a high volume of calls. I understand that it may be busy but I need to resolve this as soon as possible and the lack of employees must be making it hard to get through because I have yet to get in contact with a live person to report this damage card. This is my livelihood I use this card for my children it’s death benefits from my husband now I need a result and I need it as soon as possible. This is horrible customer service and I believe you need to work harder on helping your customers.

I have tried and tried and tried to get resolution.Direct Express refuses to speak to me. They take the baby way out and hang up on me. I was hopeful when the dispute center called. No one there has yet to do anything to fix this. 10 months ago I lost my wallet. I lost all my cards including the direct express card. This does not require medical records to resolve. Too much of my identity has been stolen already. This situation should have been resolved months ago. I have detailed all of the charges to be refunded. This is based on the transaction history sent to me. Direct express seems to have a problem doing that too! Not one month was sent in full. I received partial histories of Dec – Mar. In this list, there are over $1700 in charges that have yet to be returned to me. Point blank, I will not stop until everyone I can think of knows what has been going on. I have tried on several occassions to access my account by phone and on the website. I use to be able to talk to a human being about my account transactions but now it feeds me a menu and when I pick the one most likely to help me it drops the call. I also picked an option to have them give me a call when my account drops below $95.00. They have discontinued that practice I assume, they haven”t given me that courtesy but once. I have noticed on this site it”s happening to a lot of people. My next step will be to contact my congressman! This is serious. I too am missing several hundreds of dollars but can not confirm because they wont let me in!!

I keep calling customer service because for some reason my card is under fraud suspicion. Whenever I get a live agent they claim they can’t hear me and hang up. I’ve called four times from two different phones and it’s the same hearing problem each time. Meanwhile I have funds in my account that I can’t access! What am I going to do????!!!
