About 6 months ago I had a problem trying to get wifi removed They tried to do it over the phone and broke my hone {vip} and knocked me offline They could not fix it so I said you broke it you fix it They sent a guy to fix it Which took about 5 min Ok Great A week later I got my new monthly bill and they charged me $80 to fix what they broke I called and complained about what They broke So I should not have to pay $80 They said they would get back to me after about 20 min of argument About a week later I got a call say they have decided to refund my money Ok great 2 weeks later when I go my new monthly bill my bill was $13 more per month So I called again and they said they made an ajustment to my account…So they got there money back this way and more A SCAM then today I was on the net and Eastlink popped up with another scam Spin the dial and try to win a Samsung phone I spun and it said Congrate you have won so I went on with it when you try to collect your NEW phone HAHA you get directed to another scam site Los Vegas but no way to collect phone. This happened months ago also and I won famous face cream Just pay $6.95 shipping I did and guess what I never received face cream Another scam. You ask why am I still with Eastlink is because I am in a Eastlink installed apartment building and I have no choice Always check your bill and Never reply to eastlink scams online

After noticing that my bill has skyrocked, I called to see what was happening with my account. I believed that I was under a 2 year contract with payments of approximately 125.00 a month. Evidently, the contract was for 1 year with a 3 year term. It has put my bill up by another 45 a month. I am a lady who lives on a disability pension. There is no way that I would have agreed to 170. A month. Upon calling your customer support line, I have been advised that there is nothing that can be done about the 3 months that I was overcharged but going forward will give me a better deal. Why the heck would I stay with a company who will not listen to the customers complaints. I would expect such company to credit the account for the overcharged amount (as Bell does) as well as make the appropriate amount payable of 125 monthly. I was also told that I was locked in for 3 years on this agreement. This will be additional charges that I will have to pay to get out of this ridiculous agreement. In order to keep my business i want you to credit back the 145.00 that i was charged and extend the promotion to 125.00 a month. If you wont do this, i will continue to the crtc or credit bureau to review this situation. Respond to my complaint by October 10th.

April 29th called Eastlink for new services (as new customer) for new address. Paid 300$ on visa for faster services. Hook up was done this Sunday (June 2) for wireless tv, internet, home phone. Thursday 11 a.m. services cut off. I called and after an hour of fighting and explaining…was told “oops so sorry wrong customer was cut off” so service was restored immediately . Today, 11a.m. service cut off again. I called…they want pictures of my driver’s license, copy of lease (don’t have one here for 5 months temporarily until new build is ready) and a bill (which I also don’t have cause they’re all in storage). Old tennant owes money and auditors just realized it. NOT “my” issue!!! Auditors should’ve liked that up before they said yes to hooking me up and now wasting g my 3rd hour of trying to fix this. I sent all they wanted but now am told when they receive it will take up to 48 hours to restore services!!! My husband is blind and disabled and his phone is his only lifeline and his tv is his only life. This is URGENT!! AND it’s Friday so when will this be fixed? I want an apology and a big discount this is sooo frustrating to an already over the edge couple whose had enough misfortune!! Thanks for helping Michele

Ever since I started with eastlink, my service has been terrible. I constantly lose service, so my calls will disconnect, text messages will take FOREVER and then ultimately not send, and I’ll need to try and resend. Its been an ongoing issue for well over a year..at first I thought it may just be the phone, but i got a brand new one and it’s been an ongoing issue. I just can’t put it off anymore. I feel like I shouldn’t be paying so much monthly just to have my calls disconnect multiple times and text messages not go through! What can be done about this?? I want to hand the phone back and get out of my contract without a hassle given all the issues. Worst service I’ve ever experienced!

Ever since this company took over Persona Communications our phone, internet and digital cable are always down!!! On friday may 8th 2009 we had no internet or phone from 6pm until who knows when because when i went to bed at around 1:30am we still had nothing!!! Not to mention that they have the billing all messed up and are charging the customers when the bill has been paid! I am really thinking of canceling and going back to Bell! (that”s bad)

Good evening, This complaint is more commentary than hard core [censor]ing. I have spoken to your customer service department in regards to the situation. We had a technician service guy come to our house this morning. Not the usual fella that comes. He was punchy and choppy in manner which was fine, I understood it, he wasn’t rude or anything, just under pressure. He said he was doing both service calls and maintenance today and had a full day. He came to fix our pixelated, interrupted television service. He said the signal was weak and he did his thing inside and outside to boost the service both with the internet and television issue. Wonderful! He explained the waves of strength and where it needed to be. I asked him if he was going to change out the PVR before he left, a request I made when I called, since he was coming anyway, to swap the two, the basement one with the living room tv modem and he did that. He however left a plug hanging out of our pioneer sound system and said this plug (for I don’t know what) shouldn’t be in there anyway. Yadda, yadda, yadda…technician speak. I asked what it was for and shouldn’t he plug everything back in and he basically eluded he was doing me a favour doing this switch, because usually Eastlink charges $27 for the service of moving the devices. Well, I said, “what if it doesn’t work the way we had it?”, he asked how old my kids are, (17 and 23) “they’ll figure it out.” was his response. He wasn’t there to put other systems back in play, he said in words to that affect. I have three accounts of varying sorts with Eastlink. Two of them are business related. One thing I do with people in my business is, under promise and over deliver if I can. Today however, I got the bums rush, so to speak. I could see he was overbooked today and stressed but by the end of today, I do not have Netflix back up (likely a password issue) and my sons Xbox has no picture because this fella could not give me a few more minutes of his time and make sure all the ingredients were working whether they were Eastlink products or not. Not cool. Like I said, he was an okay guy, he just needed to make the experience better so I am not calling you back with a problem of his making because he couldn’t be bothered to help me with the other components and plug everything back in. You just don’t leave it to the customer to muddle through the rest. That’s my rant. Not pissed or anything but not happy either. …nor are my sons. I am paying a tab that is more then what your selling the phone for now. The tab plan is cheaper now if i were to buy that phone today. I called to have our security key fob replaced (for the second time) and while speaking with the representative, decided I would upgrade to Maestro as well. Appointment was for today. Got a call yesterday that the appointment was cancelled. Called and spoke to someone who said only the key fob was cancelled, and Maestro would still be done. I called again today at 12:30 because they hadn’t arrived yet and I was worried that they might not come…it being a beautiful day on a Friday. My gut said this wasn’t going to happen. I was right. I got a text that technician was on the way (3:08pm), so I eagerly waited so that we could get this done and I could take care of my errands. At 3:43 I got a text that we missed each other?!!! I was sitting right here!! I’m so angry and disappointed with Eastlink. I cancelled the install and will be looking into switching providers.

I had called to have rural connect hooked up, was informed I would have to pay $100 deposit up front, paid it via visa, as I was told it would be instant, the day before, was not contacted to let me know the installation was cancelled that my deposit wasn”t received in time. I missed a full day of work 8-5:30, waiting for an installer that was never going to arrive. Called at 4:40 after I used my very valuable wireless data to check the link in the text, that informed me of the cancellation. Was rebooked for 2 weeks away… That is ridiculous, 2 weeks is insane. I asked for my deposit back and the customer care person said my install would then be cancelled. I also asked to speak with a manager and was put off, saying they ONLY deal with rural connect sales and billing. Denial of speaking with a manager, stating there”s nothing anyone could do for me. I”m very unsatisfied with the service today, Eastlink was my go to, always pleasing to speak with, not at all was I was expecting to get from you folks.

I have been with Eastlink for almost 2 years and within those 2 years, my bill has gone from $81 to $109. I have not changed nor upgraded. My service has not improved but has been sufficient. Unfortunately, where I live there are no other providers unless I want satellite which is the same amount in rate plans. They know that they have no competition and I”m am being milked for all its worth. Trust me if I had options I would be thrilled to cancel with East link.

I have been with eastlink for many many years. They recently, without letting me know about it, raised my bundle price by more than 30% each month. I maintained payments each month the amount that i was paying all along, and finally got a letter from them with an outrageous overdo balance. Now i know that i was one month in arrears, but when i got the bill from them with numerous months of the newer increased rate, and the arrears, it seemed insane. i should have had an arrears of about $155.00 but instead, it was about $400.00. i called to complain, but they just said that i had to pay all arrears before they would even entertain the idea of a lower rate. I received a call from the Eastlink telemarketing company back in early December 2008 asking me to switch cable services. They told me if I would agree to get their digital cable and internet service they would give me 4 free months of the digital theme packs. I agreed and had the service installed. Ever since I signed on with this company I have had nothing but problems ranging from rude and disrespectful customer service agents to having to wait up to three weeks for technical support to come a fix any problem that was occurring with my internet or cable. BUT the most disappointing and angering of all is that fact that this company did NOT honor their promise to give me four free months of digital theme packs; I was cut off in March. I called and expressed my frustration and was simply told that they never ever given such a promotion to anyone, basically calling me a liar. I am not the only one that has experienced problems with this company. I hope that whoever reads this will think twice before trusting anything that Easlinks tells you as the truth.
