Eldorado Scioto Downs

I decided to go to Eldorado Scioto Downs for the celebration of my father’s birthday. It gives a very old fashioned vibe. When I entered there I felt like I\’m visiting my grandparent\’s nursing home. The lighting is dim and the music they play is horrible. My family and I were seated in the Club House building. This is a place where you can see the track and watch the race while having a chat and eating food. Unless you and your family are horse crazy do not come here. You won\’t have the patience to sit for such long hours and wait for the race to start. The food here is simply not up to the mark and overpriced. I ordered chicken breasts with penne pasta and Alfredo sauce, one veggie dish, and a soup. They took a long time to bring our food and I was quite disappointed with the taste of chicken. It was dry and Alfredo sauce was too bland. Veggies had a strong taste of pepper which wasn’t eatable either. The soup was cold and tasteless. There isn’t much privacy here and people tend to gossip about others a lot. After having a boring time at the dinner table, I decided to go to their casino after an hour. The casino is really small, basically just one medium-sized room. Casino games aren’t entertaining or variety oriented either. There are many fantasy-themed penny slots all over, but nothing special or unique that excites you. I\’m not a gambler but I do like playing in the casino for fun\’s sake and who doesn’t like making money? Bartenders here are rude I called one for help but he threw my player cards on my face and refused to help me. With $ 10 I played on a penny slot but only won a few dollars. Slots are very tight and they don’t give out any bonuses either. I put my money on another machine to play menu but suddenly the machine was frozen. I called up the manager for help and was appalled to see his behaviour when their machine was faulty and they blamed me for it. I wanted a refund or at least a voucher but he refused and answered me in a very loud tone. The restroom is very filthy and it seems no one has cleaned it for ages. When my sister went inside she could see broken beer bottles all over the area. Drunk men in the bar can sometimes be very filthy, they either try to touch you or make nasty comments and surprisingly the management does not even care! There are only 2 pop machines in the whole casino, even if you are outside, indoors or playing on the machine it\’s very rare for a cocktail server to come along and serve you a drink. You have to walk up to the bar and grab a drink yourself, moreover, they ask for a huge tip.
I would never recommend anyone to go to this place because my experience has been very unpleasant.
