After asking repeatedly to please not call, I have finally started to file complaints. They call every week at 8:00 in the morning and start their sales pitch by saying, “I know you asked not to call but could you give me just 2 minutes of your time?” unbelievable

Almost 2 years ago accepted 2 videos as a trial offer from them. Notified customer service we did not wish to purchase additional videos. Two months later the solicitations started–on our cell phone no less. Usually starting around 8 in the morning and they called around 5 times a day from 3 different numbers. I complained and the calls stopped for over a year. Last month, they started calling the cell again from 3 different numbers several times a day. I renewed my Do Not Call registry in January and it is now March. It is well past the period of time where we are considered by DNC to have a business relationship due to receiving those sample videos. My wife and I have both answered their calls and tried to tell the reps “Stop calling this number” and we have both been hung up on in mid-sentence. I called Customer Svc. today and was told we would receive no more calls; and a half-hour later we got yet another call from them. There will be no more family-friendly dialogue from me to them. My polite bone is now broken.

Had two of these calls now. A cold call asking to speak to ‘the lady of the house’ and a learnt script, playing on the fact that parents might be concerned about too many films being unsuitable for children but then trying to sell two films. When I tried to respond the woman making the call rudely talked over me without listening to anything I had to say even though I wasn’t trying to be rude – only to say that I didn’t want to buy the films but agreed that I was concerned about my children watching unsuitable things. She spoke over me several times rigidly sticking to her script and I ended up with the impression that the cause was just a front for selling films and it wasn’t a genuine campaign to protect children from unsuitable content, just a marketing gimmick.

How dare these people calling my office to try to sell to me! Are you kidding! I never gave them my office number, ever! 5 years ago I purchased some dvd’s from this company for my nieces and nephews, Because I was a sucker! I supported this company about 4 times (4 purchases of bundles of dvd movies for kids). I told them 3 years ago that I was no longer interested. I had my home phone line disconnected. I longer have a home phone line and they don’t have my cell number. It’s a new cell phone, new number. This week, 4/08/2013, I got a call at my office from Feature Films for Families. I was incredulous! Wtf! They investigated me, hunted me down and located my office telephone number! This has to be illegal!!! I have never provided them with information on my place of work. Then they called back every day since. They ask the receptionist if I’m there, and as soon as she transfers the call to me, they hang up. I called the number they called from. They called my office at 8:49 this morning, but when I redialed the number, it says they’re not open until 9:30am. They have a few other numbers they called from: [protected], [protected] is another one. I’m in the right profession to get to the bottom of this bs. I got something for them FFFF and another F is on the way!

I bought a couple of films from them about 15 yrs ago for my nephew to watch. He enjoyed one, not the other. I have not purchased anything from them since. However, they are still calling me to buy movies and he is now a senior in high school. I want no more phone calls and no more movies!!! I have no children of my own so it really bothers me. They keep saying I have a $5 credit for my next movie. They can send me a check. I will not buy from them again.

I got on the “easy target” list when I purchased a few VHS movies (ya that long ago), thinking that would be it. Its the same complaint as a lot of other people…kids are grown, out of the house, and I don’t have time to watch movies. It doesn’t matter what I tell them, they will not take no for an answer in their sales pitch for me to buy more movies. I explained buying movies is not a priority financially as my husband recently went through a liver transplant, needs a kidney, has heart problems along with being in and out of hospitals and I am financially overwhelmed with being the head of household and caregiver. The salesmans lack of empathy and my need not to be bothered by the constant phone calls when we both need our rest is inexcusable. My caller ID always shows some other company so as to get me to answer. I know his voice so I automatically say I’m not home. I don’t know how to get this guy off my line other than to say I died. What can be done????

I have been doing business with this company for over 15 years. I own every movie they have ever produced. Each time they produce a new set of movies they contact me and yes i buy everyone they put out. It is one of the very few places that you can purchase movies today that has absolutely no sex scenes and no profanity for those parents and grandparents (Like myself) who want to teach their children positive moral values. I have never had any problems with this company. I have returned cd”s that were damaged and they were instantly replaced. I have called to defer payents that i had previously set up with them and never had any type of problem. I have never recieved any calls from them unless they have new movies they have released and i am very pleased to recieve those calls. I am very honored to have been a very satisfied customer of theirs and will continue to give them my full support. Please feel free to contact with me any comments.

I have had it with the telemarketing practices of Feature Films for Families. I used to think this company was a good idea and now I am on a mission to tell everyone I know never to get involved with them. I have been called on every day of the week and at all hours of the day and evening. The male who calls our home will not even let you speak and tell him you are not interested in the films any more. He just keeps on with his spiel. I have just had to hang up on him any more. I have filed a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry, etc. to no avail. If the telemarketing practices of this company are any indication of their true motive – making money, they company has lost all value in my view.

I have told Feature Films for Families at least two or three times in the past to take me off their calling list. I did order one of their movies about ten years ago and now they keep calling me. I”m on the national Do Not Call registry. They called tonight, the caller said his name was Bret or Brent. As soon as he told me he was with Feature Films for Families, I told him I had requested to be taken off their call list and to please not call again. He said he would just try to call back later. I told him again that I didn”t want him calling back, I wanted to be taken off their calling list. He never stopped talking and didn”t listen to a word I was saying. He just kept reading his script I guess, I wasn”t really listening because I was still talking and I told him very loudly and firmly “If you don”t take me off your calling list, I”ll file a complaint” and he still kept talking so I hung up on him. I”ve never had a telemarketer talk over me and ignore me like that.

I ordered movies 5 years ago. They were paid for and I informed FFFF that I no longer wanted to order or did not want to be contacted to acquire any more. These people are like a bunch of Pirannahs, they call 3 or 4 times a week, some times 3 or 4 times a day. Especially this guy named Brian, Customer service ctr : [protected]; and FFFF [protected]. If I get another call from them…Night or day…at the earliest opportunity I will turn ALL THIS INFORMATION..including names and phone numbers over to my Washington State Attorney General and press for prosecution. .

I purchased a couple films from Feature Films for Families many, many years ago when I had younger children in my home. I would continue to get calls throughout the years occasionally, but nobody ever left a message. I answered on one occasion about a year ago and explained to the sales rep that I don”t have young kids at home anymore, but he explained the films would be good for all audiences. I agreed to order one film. To my dismay, it was a film that was several years old, that I have never heard of. It came in a thin paperboard package and for the price, I could have just rented it off Red Box or watched it on Netflix! I paid for the film using my credit card, so there are no outstanding debt issues here. Since then, I get at least 5-7 phone calls DAILY from Feature Films for Families. I work full-time and cannot usually take calls where I am. So I look through my missed calls and call them back. Feature Films for Families uses SEVERAL DIFFERENT PHONE NUMBERS to INUNDATE me with calls. They NEVER, EVER leave a message. I find this to be very unprofessional. Any reputable business with legitimate business to conduct will leave a message. I don”t really know what to do here. Call them? Ask THEM to stop calling ME?! It is taking up MY valuable time to go through my call log daily and see SO MANY NUMBERS only to find out they are ALL FROM FEATURE FILMS FOR FAMILIES. I just want them to STOP CALLING ME. I received a phone call from this company asking if I would try some of their films. When I explained we no longer had children at home, they gave their sales pitch for our grandchildren. I agreed to purchase two movies and had to get rude with the salesperson for trying to pressure me into buying more. When the movies arrived, our grandkids enjoyed them. However, I was so put off by the high pressure tactics of the salespeople, I decided not to purchase any more. When they called the next time, I politely explained I did not want to purchase any additional movies and asked them to remove my name from their list. The sales person got very aggressive trying to get me to reconsider. I finally had to hang up on him because I could not get him to take a polite “no more” for an answer. Since then, I have had six more calls. Each time I have explained I am not interested, do not like their sales tactics and asked them to quit calling. The most recent call came about two hours ago. I feel I am being harassed. I would never do business with this firm based on my experiences with their salespeople – regardless of how good their product might be. If I receive another call, I am going to refer this to my lawyer to see if harassment charges can be filed. BTW – telling them I am on the Do Not Call list made no difference.
