23-08-2017 Dear Sir, I am holding a saving bank A/C with ICICI; since the year 2000, I.E. For almost 17 years now. In fact, it had been my ‘Salary Account’ ever since. In these 17 years, I have had never raised any complaint. However, doubtingly some of the ICICI Bank employees are at least revealing account or card related information to these fraudsters, who do impose themselves as either the Bank Employees, or VISA/Master Card Employees and further shocking is they already have all the correct information about the card holder; which further diminishes the card holder doubt. Obviously, our (card holders) mistake is also there; we fall in their almost perfectly laid down honey-traps. My point is the practice of just correctly speaking out the OTP (One Time Password) to these impostors, freezes a transaction there and then itself is a very unhealthy, unsafe and unethical practice. The Bank not verifying the actual entity of the company/current bank account and what exactly has been transacted makes the bank a party to it. On 11TH AUG 2017, between 11:40am to 12:03pm (23 minutes), an impostor called me 5 times; called himself ‘Raul S Rona’; an employee of VISA and Master Card handling agency; with an employee ID: MVRR 39463. The mobile/number he had called me from is +[protected]. His calls were on the pretext of recovering an amount of INR 7500/- (INR 8000/- (paid to ‘M/s Delhi Derby’ for a ‘Holiday Package’ in the year 2016 – INR 500 (Brochure Courier Charges)). He in fact settled 4 ‘E-Transactions’ of INR 7500/- in favor of PayZapp BLR, TPL UDIO Mumbai, RSP ‘THE MOBILE WALLET BLR’, RSP ‘THE MOBILE WALLET BLR’ and on 14TH AUG INR 9900/- OLA CABS.COM Gurgaon. Total Amount fraudulently withdrew= INR 30, 000/- (7500/- x 4) + INR 9999/- = INR 39, 999/- My savior by ways of your urgent intervention is hereby humbly solicited. A great rip off storey… Last statement I saw a new charge reward redemption fee 112/- (Date 31/10/2014) for my redemption of payback reward 700 point for 70 rupees product. That again I puchased due to a alert from icici bank saying your reward point 777 will expire soon… More over I was not informed about thisnew charge and nor it is mentioned in the payback site on redemption.. For this I raised 3 service request, I did not get any proper explanation.. I would expect this charge should be shown in payback site before submitting order… But I got this debit transaction appear in 1.5 month after redemption means customer forget what he did with this amount… My case is for a 70 rupees item, I paid (reward point – 700)~ rs. 70 + 112, that is a total 182 rupees for a rs.70 product. As a consumer I expect some transparacy in each transaction and it should be shown on the screen where I am performing the transaction, in this case payback site. What value add they are providing by giving reward point.

Then atlast after 2 months i paid the amount and requested for the cancellation of policy and credit card. I have called to ICICI Lombard Insurance team for the cancellation of my policy for nearly 15 times. After 4 months, i got some positive message for my cancellation. After couple of visits to ICICI Bank (Fort Branch), I am forced to bring to your notice about the ‘Lack of professional approach and Picnic atmosphere that the staff is having’ towards the customers (NRE and SB both). Though I am not sure if you care to read this and take my feedback towards improving the service standards at ICICI Bank. 1. I had visited ICICI Fort branch on 16th July for my existing NRE/NRO account related work. As I wanted to open a DEMAT Account, a staff named ‘Jayashree Mayekar’ suggested me to open a SB account (3 in 1) hence link this account to Demat account. She took all the necessary documents from me and said I could be contacted by them in couple of days. She also gave me her mobile number to ask if I have any queries. I got the welcome kit within 10 days, and while I was on my way back to Saudi, I called her to coonfirm if the ATM card works outside India, she sent SMS confirming ‘Yes’. As I am also facing several issues (Unresolved issues) by ICICI Bank, one of them is about the remittance of foreign currency into my account (Pending since 26th Aug for US$ 10400). I was adviced to visit the nearest branch of ICICI and submit a declaration form. The nearest branch (Mira Road) was closing at 6, but he suggested me to goto Fort branch as its nearby my place, and they would close at 8pm. I wanted to confirm if they close at 8pm (It was the last working day before 3 days holiday for Eid, Ganpathi and Sunday). As I didnt have any number to check, I tried calling and a person from Thane branch said he is not sure if Fort branch is open until 8pm. I then called Jayashree Mayekar to check if they are open until 8pm, she neihter picked up my call, not responded to my SMS. When I visited Fort branch at 7:40pm, almost all the staff had already started preparing for holidays, the NRE counter (Pallavi Raj) had no mood to listen why I came to the branch. (I had 9 minutes to do this) See the way ICICI Bank is giving service to NRE. When I started requesting her if I can send her the softcopies, she was still not ready to speak on the subject, and then she called someone and asked her to take declaration form. The other staff had also was in the same picnic/holiday mood and had no clue as to which declaration form. She started grumbling and in Marathi (Probably assuming I do not know Marathi), started asking Mr.Chaitanya why you sent customer to this branch? Why you havent taken the declaration form etc etc. Finally she somehow got convinced and took a declaration form from me, but asked me to send the printed copies of the supporting documents by Monday at 8am. As I am working, Pallavi Raj also suggested me to send someone incase if I am not able to come. I wanted to give the feedback to the branch Manager, so met so called ‘Jayashree Acharya’ and told her about the negative attitude of the staff and not responding to customer calls. She pretended like listening to me, but I felt she too was prepared for the holidays. I dont know if she has taken my feedback seriously or not. On Monday when I sent my relative at 8am to the branch, until 8:30, there was noone at the branch (NRE section), one staff named ‘Ashish Mishra’ was there, but was not in a mood to speak. Probably his mind was already hoilidaying/picnining. Then when my relative requested him to take the forms/documents, he said he doesnt know whats that and he cant take. When I tried to speak to him, he refused to speak to me over the phone. He is just forcing my relative to wait until Pallavi Raj comes to the branch. My relative waited until 8:45, as she too had to goto office, she then requested him to take the documents and give to Pallavi Raj, finally he took. My experience with Fort branch sofar has been – I see a lot of ‘unskilled, unprofessional people, who have no clue whats customer and whats the value of customer service’. As its been aprofessional saying ‘You pay pea-nuts and end up hiring monkeys’. Do we need to deal with such monkeys? Why cant ICICI have professionals? From bottom to top at Fort branch, I could see similar attitude. They seem to be presending of understanding the customer concerns. But they are way behind when it comes to real action. Why? Can someone forward this feedback to Fort branch and propose some serious training (Soft skills mainly) to them? Specially Jayashree Mayekar, Pallavi Raj and few NRE section staff? (I can suggest to include Jayashree Acharya as well to this training). I am sorry to sound frustrated, but I thought this shouldnt be repeated.

After couple of visits to ICICI Bank (Fort Branch), I am forced to bring to your notice about the ‘Lack of professional approach and Picnic atmosphere that the staff is having’ towards the customers (NRE and SB both). Though I am not sure if you care to read this and take my feedback towards improving the service standards at ICICI Bank. 1. I had visited ICICI Fort branch on 16th July for my existing NRE/NRO account related work. As I wanted to open a DEMAT Account, a staff named ‘Jayashree Mayekar’ suggested me to open a SB account (3 in 1) hence link this account to Demat account. She took all the necessary documents from me and said I could be contacted by them in couple of days. She also gave me her mobile number to ask if I have any queries. I got the welcome kit within 10 days, and while I was on my way back to Saudi, I called her to coonfirm if the ATM card works outside India, she sent SMS confirming ‘Yes’. As I am also facing several issues (Unresolved issues) by ICICI Bank, one of them is about the remittance of foreign currency into my account (Pending since 26th Aug for US$ 10400). I was adviced to visit the nearest branch of ICICI and submit a declaration form. The nearest branch (Mira Road) was closing at 6, but he suggested me to goto Fort branch as its nearby my place, and they would close at 8pm. I wanted to confirm if they close at 8pm (It was the last working day before 3 days holiday for Eid, Ganpathi and Sunday). As I didnt have any number to check, I tried calling and a person from Thane branch said he is not sure if Fort branch is open until 8pm. I then called Jayashree Mayekar to check if they are open until 8pm, she neihter picked up my call, not responded to my SMS. When I visited Fort branch at 7:40pm, almost all the staff had already started preparing for holidays, the NRE counter (Pallavi Raj) had no mood to listen why I came to the branch. An ICICI Lombard policy was attached on my credit card 4477 XXXX XXXX 8004 without my consent. I was charged 150Rs per month for 3 months which I was not aware of. When I asked for cancellation for this they told they will cancel the same. But this fraud people charged me Rs 3500 as cancellation fee. This is clearly a cheating case and when i ask them why they didn’t told me earlier they said the representative might have told me or he must have forgot the same. I haven’t yet payed anything and now the due amount has reached 6.5k with all the late fees and interests. I already raised a complaint at customer service still no use. They are not even ready to cancel my credit card.

Below is the actual message sent to [protected]@icicibank.com after dealing with phone banking and [protected]@icicibank.com…still no response. Looks like they just reply to online posts and not real customers. I will post back here if they finally hear and resolve the issue Actual Message sent… I am writing after calling multiple times to ICICI NRI Phone banking service with no use. I did multiple transfers to my above nri account and recent transfer of $73000 USD was deposited on 7/16/13. I called ICICI NRI phone banking to find the conversion rate for wire transfer and the banking officer told it is Rs59.40/-. But the conversion rate I received for the deposit for the same day (IST) is Rs57.96. I do understand that it is a indicative rate but the past 3 days during the transfer forex market does not show that much fluctuation. When argued the same she said that she will create a SR to match the conversion rate of Rs59.40/- I call after 3 days only to find that there is no such SR created. This time I talk to supervisor and he ensured to create an SR. Again I followed up after 4 days to find that they agreed to only give extra 30 paise on conversion. But when asked I want to know what is the conversion rate range (like between 58.40 – 59.50) for that day he said that I have to email to [protected]@icicibank.com When I email to [protected]@icicibank.com they said that they don’t have information but provided links to get indicated rates. In this whole process I feel I am cheated as a customer by not making my banking transactions transparant. I have more than 1 crore in deposits trusting this banking system and but could not get any banking officer who can talk numbers and tell why I got Rs1.44/- less in exchange rate that same day’s wire transfer rate (loss of Rs 1, 05, 120/- on single transaction). By May 2009, I was holding 1 policy with ICICI Prudential. That is Life Stage Pension (Policy no [protected]) with annual premium of 40000. I had taken LifeStage Pension policy around May 2008, in which I had paid the premium of 40000 before 17th May 2009. Suddenly at the beginning of May 2009 before the 3rd premium for my LifeStage Pension policy was deducted, a person from ICICI Prudential (most probably from marketing of kolkata) named Anaita Mukherjee called me and suggested me that my ongoing policy Lifestage Pension policy is not in a good position & the fund is going to be in loss in future, so it is better to transfer all my previously invested premium of LifeStage Pension into another policy i.e. LifeStage Assure (policy no [protected]). Also she said that my 3rd premium for LifeStage Pension that was supposed to be paid through ECS, will be paid to the LifeStage Assure. She also said that she is going to block my LifeStage Pension policy & total 40000 that was already paid to Lifestage pension will be considered to be the 1st year premium for LifeStage Assure. If I do that then I will be benefited more & can get a better return. Also she stated that she is going to link my Lifestage Pension policy with Lifestage Assure & going forward I have to pay 40000 annual premium only for Lifestage Assure & for LifeStage Pension I have not to pay any single money. I aske her many times whether it is at all possible or not & she started convincing me that yes it is absolutely possible & this is an offer from ICICI Prudential. Then I called up customer care & they told me that no it is not possible. Then I told her that I am not going to do it at all. Then she told me that she is the manager in ICICI Prudential & she knows much better than customer care guys & she is absolutely sure that it is possible. In the mean time on 17th May 2009 my 3rd premium for LifeStage Pension got deducted by ECS. I asked her that what will happen to my 3rd premium that was payed to LifeStage Pension. She told me it is not a problem because she is going to adjust this amount with Life Stage Assure for next premium i.e. November 2009. From various sources I came to know that fund transfer & linking from one policy to other is not at all possible. Now I am looking for some suggestion so that I don”t loose my money. It seems that I am going to loose my money because now I have to continue 2 policies with 80000 annually, which is not at all affordable for me. As per the rules of the policy papers I came to know that if I stop paying premium in any of the policies (Life Stage Pension or Life Stage Assure) then I won”t get my invested money back at all. I would like to lodge this complaint as a fraud case against ICICI Prudential for doing marketing by means of unethical & fraudulent way. This things should be stopped as soon as possible. Also I would request you to tell me how can I get this money back. I really can not withstand this kinds of fraud things happening with the normal people by a reputed financial institution of India. It apparently seems that India is not having any laws & private financial institutions could not be reliable at all.

Cici bank money to india sucks!! They provide the worst service I have ever seen. I’ve been in business doing transactions for over 10 years, and I never lived something like this before. It unreal, I transfer money 1 month ago and the transaction has not been completed and I keep calling and customer service say the money is in another department, and that they will call back, etc etc. I have 3 service request numbers dont know what they for cause they dont do nothing! Look at the board they are full of complaints, wish I looked at this earlier! They are full of crap please stay away from icici bank and money 2 india or have your layer ready!

COMPLAINT: Unnecessary Policy cancellation Charges charged to me by ICICI Lombard. CAUSE : My name and address was wrongly spelt on the policy certificate. I returned the policy immediately. I requested to correct the same. I sent 19 mails to ICICI lombard and ABN AMBRO. They did not bother. Ultimately I cancelled the policy. This they accepted and charged me heavy cancellation charges. BRIEF HISTORY AND FACTS: 1. In the month of Mar06 I applied for ABN AMBRO credit card. 2. They accepted and offered me credit card. They also offered me a health insurance policy from ICICI Lombard, on monthly payment basis. I accepted 3. 20 Apr 06 I received the credit card and insurance policy. But my name and address on card as well as policy was wrongly spelt. 4. 24APR 06 I returned the policy to ICICI Lombard, Mahalaxmi office, through courier. I have the POD. I requested for necessary correction. Similarly I requested ABN AMBRO for correction. 5. 29.04.06 ABN asked me additional documents. This letter I received on 24.05.06 and I submitted the documents immediately. 6. ICICI Lombard asked me to reconfirm the changes (MODIFICATION TO ENDORSEMENT) on 15.5.06, I have replied on 24.5.06. 7. I received corrected card on 22.06.06 acknowledged on 6.07.06. 8. 3.07.06 I received mail from ICICI Lombard that the new policy is under printing and you will receive soon. 9. I received the document again on 7.07.06 with wrong name and address. 10. During this period I had sent more than 19 mails to ICICI and ABN, I have spoken many times to their customer care cell/ 24 hrs banking service etc. 11. So ultimately I thoroughly convinced that ICICI Lombard can not correct my name and hence I can not get policy with correct name and address. 12. On 13 .07.06 I requested to cancel the proposal. 13. This they accepted immediately and charged me heavy cancellation Charges, stating some rules. 14. In the month of September I have paid full amount to ABN AMBRO approx. Rs. 10,800/- for NO REASON THEY FAILED TO WRITE MY NAME CORRECTLY. THEY FAILED TO CORRECT IT. I HAVE NO POLICY. BUT I HAD TO PAY OVER RS. 10,800/-. I HAVE BEEN PENALIZED FOR NO REASON. FAULTS: AT ICICI: 1. They have received the policy back within 15 days hence they have no right to charge me any cancellation charges. AT ABN: 1. They should not charge any late payment charges when the card was under correction. 2. They should have ensured that their associate company is providing the proper service to customer. Credit Card Fraud – Duplicate card. This the case history: Email sent to Mumbai Cyber Cell Department Date: Aug 25, 2007 12:41 PM Subject: Credit Card Fraud – Duplicate card Issue To: [protected]@cybercellmumbai.com Dear Sir, My Name is Melwyn Victor D’souza resident of Mumbai. There were three fraud transactions done using my credit card on 23rd May 2007 in Pune. This was on a ICICI bank Card No: 5176-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX on which the fraud transactions were done which I got from EXPRESS IT courier serivce in my office on 22nd May 2007. The card was not used by me after I got it from EXPRESS IT courier service. I was in my office in Thane when the transaction was done. I got messages on my cell that someone has used my card at PIRAMYD RETAIL summed to a total of INR 21,953 (At this time i was not aware it was done in Pune) I immediately called ICICI customer care and blocked the card. On the next day 24th May 2007 I went to MIDC police station not aware that the transaction was done in Pune. I had a discussion with PI Mr Ghoorao. He told me to settle the issue with the bank. I also visited ICICI bank on the same day JB nagar branch. I had a talk with Gloria and Shala from ICICI they told me not to raise an FIR and the bank will reverse all the charges incurred. On the same day I called ICICI bank and raised a dispute and also came to know that the transaction was done in Pune. I could take some sigh of relief as I knew that I had all the proofs that I was in office and faxed the first dispute letter ( Attached Doc: First_Dispute_Letter_With_Fax_Txm_Rpt_(Entire Case History).pdf). I thought ICICI bank will investigate the case and give me a proper resolution but instead of doing that they told me that the dispute went in favour of the bank and I will have to pay the amount. After this I again raised a dispute (Attached Doc: Second_Dispute_Letter_Sent_To_ICICI_via_blue_dart.pdf) and also sent them the evidences to prove that I did not do the transactions. Evidences: 1. Attached Doc: Attendance_Logs_With_Email_Used_To_Generate_From_Office.pdf 2. Attached Doc: Sign_From_All_My_Office_Colleagues_And_Seniors.pdf 3. I called the ICICI CC department for the first time when received the SMS’s for the transaction to block the card. I used the CVV number to generate a Telephone PIN which also proves that I had the card in Thane in my office from where I called when the fraud transaction was made. 4. The card which I possessed is a fresh card that I received from ICICI bank on the 22nd MAY 2007. Since it was a swipe transaction there has to be swipe marks on the card that should be evident as there were three swipes done on 23 rd MAY 2007. But the card which It does not have the swipe marks. This proves that it is a fraud transaction. Please note that I still possess the card with me till date to also prove this. During this period I also got Charge slips of the fraud transactions from ICICI bank which had all different signatures and signatures which are not mine.( Attached Doc: Charge_Slips_Of_Fruad_Trans_From_ICICI_Charge_Back_Dept.pdf). Also I had been getting calls from collections department to make the payment but I always told them that ICICI bank charge back department is investigating the case. Before this I was constantly getting calls from ICICI bank to make the payment.After this I visited ICICI bank JB nagar branch and had a talk with Mr Sanjay Pal on 21st Aug 2007 and showed him all the evidences he told me that he will take care of it and assured me that I will not be getting any calls from collections department. On 23rd Aug 2007 I again got a call from ICICI bank collections dept on 23rd August by Mr Vijay who told me that I have to make the payment of INR 21953 + Interest charges. On the same day I went to ICICI bank JB nagar branch and took my mother with me, my mother started shouting in the ICICI bank office and ICICI bank officials sent lady named Veena to talk with me and my mom and calm us down and who listened to our plea. After this she assured me that I wont get any calls from ICICI bank collections department. Also she called her boss Mr Krishna R he saw all the evidences and told me that he will look in to the matter and told that it will take some time to resolve the issue. He took all the letters and evidences plus a charge back form to resolve the issue. I have been taking so much care in sending ICICI bank with all the evidences but ICICI bank does not respond to it and doesnot do proper investigation of the case. They might give me false promises. Suspecting this Immediately rushed to Pune with my mother to lodge and FIR in Bund garden police station who directed me to Council hall police Chowky. Listening to my case the PI of the police chowky directed me to Commissioner of Police, Cyber Cell department. I immediately rush to Cyber cell department where I had a talk with PI Mr. Kale. He saw all the proofs that I possessed with the unused card and told that the suspect could be either ICICI bank or Courier service EXPRESS IT. He told that it is a credit card cloning case and ICICI bank could have seen the CCTV logs present in Piramyd retail, Pune after I had raised a dispute with all the explanations on 24th May 2007. He also told me that I could have visited Cyber cell mumbai to lodge a complaint but I was unaware of this. I gave him a signed complaint against ICICI bank and EXPRESS IT courier with all the evidences. He told me that I may have to visit Pune if in case I am required and I told him that I will be more than happy to do that. He also directed me to talk to Mr. Mukhtar Shaikh, PSI from Mumbai Cyber Cell Dept. I will also visit Cyber cell mumbai in next week to provide all the letters and evidences.
