Good evening. My name is Phoebe Stewart. I attended IADT-Detroit from September 2003-June 2004. I was a fashion design major & felt I wasn’t being helped the way administration claimed students would be helped. Our classes were packed, there weren’t class assistants as promised, & the instructors didn’t know how to instruct, frankly. There was a revolving door of presidents, one being charged with either embezzlement or fraud from his previous employment with one of the local suburban school districts. I became overwhelmed with student loan debt very quickly, as scholarships weren’t offered nor were they able to be used at that time, given the school didn’t have accreditation at that time. I drive past the former campus on my way to work in Troy & wondered why the building was up for lease & / or sale. I just found out tonight that the school is closed for good. Thank you for taking the time to read this & hopefully we’ll be able to come to a resolution against IADT-Detroit.
