John Grimm

We hired John Grimm Designs TWO YEARS ago to provide us with computer-aided designs (CAD) for a project we are working on. The project was considered easy and straightforward. It was estimated to take less than 20 hours of design time so we expected the design to be completed within two weeks. John Grimm did provide files for prototype, however, it took over one year for him to complete the design and provide us with the file. The file he provided was used to create a prototype, unfortunately, his design work was hurried and it showed. Dimensions were off, parts did not fit together, and the design was so incompetent that we were not able to use it, or the prototype. The prototype company said they had never seen anything like it. There were three significant defects in the design that rendered the design unusable and there was a long list of issues attributed to a lack of attention to detail that needed to be addressed and corrected. John Grimm agreed to correct the design flaws, however, six months have passed and he has failed to provide any corrections. We have email after email of made up excuses as to why he has failed to complete the corrections by deadlines he set himself. A two week project has stretched into two years… and it is still not complete. Bottom line, John Grimm does not keep his word and is not reliable. His work is inexcusably poor. We spent thousands of dollars for nothing. Save yourself ALOT of time and spend your money on a design professional, which John Grimm is not!
