We missed a connecting local flight because Lufthansa was late by over 2 hours. I sent a detailed email with costs incurred. Since the reason is legitimate I had no doubts they would offer compensation for the missed flight. | Reply came 1 month later, refusing any compensation. | This is the reply from Lufthansa: | Thank you for your online feedback dated September 20, 2018. We appreciate your patience while waiting for our response. | We truly regret that you were affected by a delay on your journey to Moscow on August 7, 2018. Any change to your anticipated schedule can be stressful and your frustration under these circumstances is understandable. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused. | According to our records, flight LH 463 on August 9, 2018 was delayed due security issues. We ask for your understanding that such situations lie outside the sphere of influence of the airlines. We therefore hope for your understanding that we cannot meet your request for compensation. | Furthermore, Please be advised that we can only reimburse expenses within our scope of liability.
