Bought an 02′ Chrysler Sebring Limited Convertible with 80,000 miles which has basically never ran, it is also not currently running. Since I’ve bought it, it has needed: Major electrical work, the water pump, the thermostat housing, battery, several engine o-rings, removal of the alarm system, breaks pads, timing belt tensioner, some spring, ignition, and judging by its track record, it probably needs more work to come. I’ve owned the car for roughly 3 months, and have driven it for two weeks, it has been in the shop 7 times during that time for major issues. I’ve only been able to drive it a handful of times, usually it breaks down when I try to drive it. Brian (manager at the dealership) refuses to give me my money back for the strained and distressed vehicle, he also has since turned me away, and let me know he can’t help me, and I’m on my own. Eric (the guy who sold it to me) claims it will run. They continually drive home the fact that the car is as-is, which somehow makes all of this OK, the only problem with that logic is, I am unable to drive home. As a result of the car not running, not only do I have to tow the vehicle around town, pay for some of its repairs, I also have to keep my old vehicle running, and insured, including that vehicles maintenance, causing my finances great strain. On top of all of that, this car is dangerous. I suppose I should feel fortunate I have not had an injury or death during one of the cars many breakdowns. I am currently working on getting the car from the shop to my home: I couldn’t afford the cost of all of the repairs from the most recent round, so I must tow or push the car home, while I scrounge around for more money to try and get my car repaired as it still needs more work before it will drive. .
