It was not a very pleasant experience as a first time home buyer using home inspection services. We found the report to miss out on a few obvious faults and report some that actually we’re non issue but we spent money unnecessarily on having the service guy come over and tell us it was easy as turning a few knobs on and off.

We had PremierOne Home Inspections come over to inspect a property we were interested in buying. Unfortunately, we could not be there during the inspection as we were staying in a different city then. The inspection guy called us from the site and was there on time. We even received the report in time and had images attached to it with recommendations. We went over them and bought the house. We move in and the air conditioning in one of the bedrooms seems to be a little off at first, not cooling properly and having a leak. And then, in a week, the air conditioning system gives up. It’s an absolute furnace in there. We got it repaired and then got to know that ducting and wiring of the air conditioning was in a terrible condition and that it the leakages were caused by blocked ducting. I guess this should have shown in the report. Also, we found out in a couple of days that one of the electrical outlets in the laundry room had in fact been fused and burnt. Other than this, their report mentioned of some repairs to the plumbing in the yard, when all it required was to just some air out of the faucet as it had not been used for a long time. The overall experience comes off as really upsetting. They were also not very responsive to our calls and emails after the deal.
