DO NOT SUPPORT THIS STORE. THEY ARE DECEPTIVE AND RUDE. I ordered several separate dresses to be used as bridesmaid dresses and they cancelled one of the orders on me because they thought it was a duplicate. If they were professional and organized and knew how to run a business, they would have contacted me first and would have found out that I did want more than one of the same dress. Then when I called to fix the problem they took no responsibility for their mistakes and told me that I didn’t speak or read English and that when I did learn, to reread their return policy which they themselves screwed up on. Then to make matters worse, they took so long to look into what happened that the other dresses I already ordered and that they cancelled on me were now out of stock. Now only half of the bridesmaids have the dress and the others are stuck without anything. Also their sizing on their clothes are totally off. They may have some business now, but I am sure they won’t last long. Because, their products are cheap and WAY OVERPRICED and they are rude beyond belief. I plan on taking this to the highest of courts and letting everyone I know and don’t know what kind of business they are running. PLEASE THINK ABOUT THE MANY OTHER CHOICES you have out there if you don’t want your event and memories destroyed.

DON”T BUY here at least when you live outside USA My daughter ordered her prom dress and had to pay about 60% more because of shipping costs, taxes etc. The website does not inform her target group (teens and young adults) properly about these “extra costs” and they are faced with these costs when UPS is delivering the package. Phoning with the company they suggested to accept the package, pay the extra costs and 2 times the shipping costs and send the dress back. She could get the money back that she paid for the dress. This would mean that she has no dress and paid 220 dollar??! PromGirl has to take her responsibility and act according to normal values that respect the target group!

Don’t order there if you are not 100% sure that you will keep the merchandise. We were stationed in Germany when we ordered a couple dresses (picking the right size) for my daughter for prom. We sent 2 dresses back because they didn’t fit and “ate” the restocking fee and all that stuff. The total store credit we received was $ 180.80 which according their return policy is only good for one year. We didn’t have no need for a dress within that year. Make a long story short: I could have flushed that money down the toilet, because they took the returned merchandise and our money! I am wondering if their is no consumer protection for those kind of practices!?

First and last time I will purchase from this site. They would not accept my return because it was not requested within 7 days. Return policy is misleading, please be sure to read the fine print. A supervisor said that the item is not longer being offered in the size I purchased so they would not make an exception. The dress size was large and of poor quality. Buyer beware!

First of all, the customer service is really really horrible. The reps are unable to help with any returns or size changes. REALLY READ THE POLICIES because you WILL be screwed if you find a slight problem with your dress and find that you need to return or exchange it but CAN’T. Or, if you argue long and hard enough, they will give you 1/4 of your money back in store credit – but you have to pay an additional $40+ on shipping and other fees for that return/exchange. For a $200 dress I ordered from a rather highly reputable company, my experience with them was unacceptable! I wasted double my money on a prom dress I didn’t even get to wear once. CAREFULLY READ THEIR POLICIES or altogether just avoid this website. Also Read reviews and be careful before pressing ‘buy’!”

I am extremely disappointed and will never buy anything from PromGirl.com. I”ve ordered a lovely cream dress. When I received it I was shocked because it was totally white! They use some filters and photoshop so there may be a huge difference in colors. I contacted customer care and asked for a refund. They refused and said that dress I ordered was on sale and they never give refunds for items that are on sale. What sale? I had no idea what they were talking about because when I bought it there was no sale. Extremely unprofessional company and a very poor way to take care of the customers. So disappointed.

I bought 3 dresses and when I opened the package I was a little shocked. The fabric material was so thin that I could see my body through it, it was almost transparent. And it looked so bad sewed and cheap, I couldn”t wear it anywhere at all, not even at home. Too bad. One of the dress was with a hole near the sleeve, and another one was a smaller size. The third dress was ok, but still looked cheap and poorly made. Shame on you for selling terrible clothes. They are going to the garbage, don”t even want to contact them for a refund, I know it will be a headache.

I have placed my order on the 24th of May and paid for one business day delivery. The reason why I chose one business day option was that one of my friends was in Chicago and she was coming back to Turkey on the 26th. It was supposed to be in Chicago on the 25th but instead it arrived on the 27th. I tracked my order on the 26th with one of Prom Girl”s assistants and I was promised to receive it by 17:30 however it didn”t. My friend got back. In order to transfer the parcel to another destination in the US for getting the dress on time for my daughter”s prom night I had to pay another extra money. I called Prom Girl for refund but the most annoying person I have ever met said that they can”t refund it but the only thing they can do is to charge me for two business days and refund the difference between one day and two days option. A mistake or delay can happen but there is always a way to compensate. If you are not willing to compensate your faults then you should stop making them. I will never ever shop from you again and I will spread this bad experience of mine. I think this shopping site should seriously be renewed and the assistants should be trained not only for their assisting skills but also for their awful attitudes. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO LET PEOPLE”S EXPECTATIONS DOWN.

I have purchased two dresses from PromGirl website which were on sale. My order arrived in a timely manner. One dress looked great but the second one was defective. There was no tag on it and it had a hole. I contacted customer service and asked for a refund but they said that they cannot accept back any items which were on sale. They said that they were very sorry that I was not satisfied and that there was nothing they could do. Yes, they have their policies, their own rules, but come on, they sold me a defective product! I ordered a dress on 3/30/2010 that, according to Promgirl.com was in stock and available for shipment the next business day. On 4/1/2010 I received an email that stated that my item had shipped and it supplied me with a tracking number. As of 4/6/2010 we still had not recieved the dress and called the company. I was then told that the dress had NEVER shipped and that they were sorry for their mistake and the dress would not ship unitl 4/10/2010. If I would have known this from the get go, I would never had ordered the dress from this company. Alterations would have to be done to any dress my daughter gets, and during this time of year they can take up to 3-4 weeks. Needless to say, my daughter’s plans to go to the prom now linger thanks to their bad business practices. As my daughter cried, all I got from this company was an Im sorry!!

I ordered a prom dress for about $450 in advance to be sure the dress was ready for prom. When my daughter put on her dress for prom night, the cheap nylon zipper got stuck and it would not move up or down. Finally, we got the zipper to zip to the top but then the cheap nylon zipper split apart. We had to drive to a friend’s house and have my daughter sewn into the dress, putting her at least an hour behind schedule the night of the prom. I contacted Promgirl several times, and they have not given us a refund, a credit, a partial refund, a partial credit, an offer to repair the zipper, an apology or anything. They have not even responded at all to my most recent email. They have terrible customer service. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN.

I ordered a prom dress for my daughter, early March, 2011. It had gathering or pleating around the waist that was not there in the photo’s so my daughter did not like the way it looked. I sent it back and had to pay a restock fee plus the shipping cost. I Ordered a different dress and when it arrived it had folding and gathering along the slit up the middle, again not there in photo nor was it suppose to be in the design. After several complaints about “me the customer being put into the roll of quality control” I was finally advised I could send it back free of charge and as soon as they saw movement on the tracking order they would ship out the same dress free of charge. However, they sent the info to an invalid email so I never received it. I called again and was told it was my fault because I had entered an invalid email account. My Fault…funny since I had received all the other confirmation emails and shipping emails just fine. Today is April 14th, 2011 and I have called several times and new excuses keep coming up as to why I still don’t have a dress in hand. Yesterday I was even advised that there was confusion between different department as to what I was wanting, so they were emailing between departments. Uhm…the dress and if unsure, call me the customer and ask, they have my info. I must say I will never buy from this company again and will advise all who will listen to not buy from them as well.

My mom called and they said they had it in stock and would ship it that day. It’s Tuesday. No dress. My mom called. I purchased a prom dress for my daughter 3 months in advance (beginning of February)from Promgirl.com, completely aware of the non-refundabel policy. But what I wasnt aware of was the restocking fee (my bad). My daughter was not happy with the way the dress fit or looked (not like the pic). So in order to return the dress for an exchange it is going to cost me 10% of the cost of the dress plus shipping charges. So if I were to exchange the dress and the 2nd dress did not fit right then I would be even further in dept to Promgirl.com. There shouldnt be a restocking fee for something you can not try on and have no way of knowing if it will fit until you purchase it. Pretty ignorant to run an online business with this policy. I will NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER ITEM FROM THE IS WEBSITE. I have considered this a loss and have learned my lesson not to purchase expensive items online. I should have listened! I told myself everyone gets a little harsh in a review..ha.. not so. I did not even order from this site. I got a message that said my dress was not available in my size… THEY STILL CHARGED MY CARD! And the sister site, Simply Dress, I tried to order there. I got some error message that told me to try again. I did. Same message… THEY CHARGED MY CARD TWO TIMES!! So now I have 3 charges for NOTHING tying up all the credit on my card! Because of these people, I cannot book my honeymoon trip until this BS gets cleared up. The card company said the charges are PENDING but that is BS. I ordered NOTHING. The charge will fall off in 10 days, but thats TEN DAYS for NOTHING. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY!!! Even when I call them in the AM it wont every change the fact that I cannot book my honeymoon tonight and I feel my wedding plans are off to a horrible start.
