This company was hired by Pearson Education to produce online social studies lessons for an online textbook. They in turn hired many many freelancers, and we have yet to be paid for our work 3 to 6 months after the project ended and all our hard work was approved. I am in touch with about 10 other freelancers from this project and we totaled what the company owes us as a group, it comes to over $61,000! They appear to be a solvent company with financial backing. Why are they not paying their freelance employees? I believe there are many more besides the 11 of us who are in touch with each other, since there were many more freelance writers and editors on the project, they are probably still owed money also. This company should pay their freelance employees as promised in their contracts with us. .

Will not respond regarding pay
Half way through a project then let go for really no reason that I could see but told would be paid for work completed. Have not heard from them approaching 2 months and they will not respond to email or calls. Was weeks of work with unrealistic deadlines. I will think twice next time before contributing or rather “giving away” so much content without any assurance am even going to get paid.
