I am requesting that you look in to this unjustifiable and inappropriate matter that one Rent-A-Center local store employee violated my account and name. Alsi without my consent and was not aware of account activation until I read my email and was floored by the due date billing statement. To my unexpected surprise I had to make sure I read the payment notification correct and to my amazement it was. I clearly did not notify Rent-A-Center in writing,by phone or in person to make any rental or payout purchases in my account name. Item or items rented were a cell phone and or a flatscreen tv. At one point my account payment was over due and was in shock at that point. So I contacted the District Manager named Jaqline from the Odessa area about the incident. At that point Jaqline indicated that she would look in to the matter and that she would make the proper adjustments once she found some answers.It was disclosed that 3 current employees we’re involved in this account violation matter and I was in shock to find out one was an active Manager. After speaking with a District manager, she said she would handle the problem and close that new fake account. Then a week later i was informed that all the employees involved, were still employed and also no discipline action was even taken. Also, the cell that was used on this fake account, not only is still active but that same employee still has it. So i really have no concrete proof if the District manager has taken care of this matter at all. Or if my name and account is closed and safe from these employees or anybody for that matter, nor any guarantees that this wont happen again. In past I have made rental purchases and had a good rental history. This has caused great heartache and stress not knowing about unknown charges or account standings.Therefore I am willing to arrange to seek legal advise to proceed with legal action to clear my credentials and my affiliation with Rent-A-Center. .

Christmas was a few days away, I went to the mall and someone broke into my car and stole rent a center item and stole my stuff also. So i called the police and my gf called rent a center, they demanded a police report, it took a while to get the report but meanwhile they was harressing me and my gf, they didnt believe that we had a polce report. So we brought the police report to them, he said he will have to give it to his manager and they will get back to me, if u ask me everyone a manager there. 2 weeks later we receive a letter in the mail basically threatning to excersice they legal rights? Im like what legal rights im glad my gf signed the insurance called Liability damage waiver, I talk to the manager about the insurance and he gave me lies to why the insurance want apply to my gf and me. I lost alot in the break in especially my wallet and id and social security card everything. Im not going to pay for something i cant use or dont have and have insurance on it thats not fair or ethical. Never had a problem till I got a new job and had to change payment from weekly to bi weekly. To avoid any late payments I ASKED Billy to come and get my merchandise for a week so I could stay on track and he could bring it back. He says, “No Mrs. Perry that’s too much work. Since you’re such a valued customer I’ll give u that week and you’ll be fine. ” I go, “Great! That’s cool but you’re sure I’ll be ok that way?” “Absolutely ma’am. No problem.” He blatantly lied to me. And for SEVEN months and STILL counting I’ve being harassed about that one week that Billy supposedly took care of for me. He has come to my home like he’s a u.s. Marshall and I’m a drug king pin. The most ridiculous sight I’ve ever seen in my life. He sat on my couch like he lived here and gladly accepted my money but STILL hasn’t taken care of that week I REFUSE to pay simply on principle now. “First Time” doing business with your company and after I finish paying everything off You can guarantee it will be the last. I came into your store Friday 8/4/17 to purchase furniture, was told I would have to wait until Monday 8/7/17 to receive merchandise. My scheduled delivery time was set for (4:00 p.m) which was fine because I explained to the gentleman that I got off work at 6 a.m and had to go back in later at 10 p.m. So Monday has come and no one shows up. I called after 5:45 p.m to see what the hold up was. The guy who answered cracks a few jokes (instead of taking me & my time serious) the gentleman then gave me the run arounds stating they would be there at (7:00 p.m) So 8:30 hits and still no one has shown up. I call the store again, by now I”m upset! The guy explains there loading up and will arrive in 20 minutes. Once again, I”ve gotten the run arounds! Because no one came. I should be treated like a valued customer, the gentleman gave me his word and I expect to have my things at the scheduled time! I left home at 9:50 p.m no one ever came by or called. I”m highly upset with this company, because this is not how you conduct business! Your company was QUICK to take a down payment Friday but can”t deliver my merchandise as scheduled! This is very poor customer service and I don”t wish to continue future services with your company! I will warn everyone I know, to NOT do business with Rent – A – Center.

6/10/17 manager called and asked about our payment we informed her that the full payment would be made on tuesday 6/13/17. After almost 3 years of loyal service and on time payments! We were told that that wasn”t acceptible…?? Now grant you we have bought and paid for at least 5 telephones, 4 televisions, washer and dryer, numerous tablets, kept up with service plans for said telephones. Never ever been more than 3 days late on maybe 3 payments! Our payments were supposed to be due on tuesdays anyway but she informs us that it was changed to saturdays for some reason??? And also proceeds to tell my wife that my name was never on the account to begin with and that she has been there for 5 years but yet we have never seen or heard about her or her name ever the entire time we have been customers! She then proceeds to say that my name has never been on the account and she doesn”t need to talk to me!! My name has been on the account since day one!! If it wasnt then how were they able to accept payments from my credit card and how is my name on the certificates of ownership?? I just think it is absolutely rediculous for a manager to disrespect loyal customers like us over 3 days after 3 years of loyal service and payments!! Plus we brought in other customers!! 8/7/2017. I just buried my father today. I am in Birmingham Alabama. I know I am late on my payment which is only $50 on a laptop. We tried to pay this before we left but they said that we owe over $300. I am heading back to Peoria first thing in the morning. I had my neighbor that is watching my house and dogs to let Rent a Center know when I would be back. Today she called me to tell me that they came banging on my door and by the time she got over to my house they were gone. But apparently they antagonized my dogs as to 1 jumped out of the window. That I don’t appreciate. I tried to call them around 4:30 this evening and I got this one guy named Antoin that was rude with me before. I asked to speak to Chris, whom we deal with and know how much we owe for the laptop. Again this Antoin was rude by saying I couldn’t speak to Chris unless I gave my name. I am so upset right now. I wanted to report this guy so no-one have to deal with his character. I just buried my dad. Needless to say, as soon as I get back, I am returning your products.

A few weeks ago, my husband and I visited our rent a center where we currently pay for a phone. When given the phone, which is a note, we were also given an old scratched up otter box, which ended up falling apart. The plastic screen ripped. At some point the phone ended up with a small crack on the back corner. We never took the case off, unless we were cleaning the phone so we are not sure how it happened or if it was there and got worse. After we noticed it, it made sense that the phone became glitchy. When we went into the store to get it sent off after calling first to make sure we could get the same phone as a loaner, they assured us. So when we got there and she asked some questions, she then went in the back to speak to I guess the manager. Whom never came out to speak to us! So the sales women comes out and says so we are going to give you this phone, I think it was an s5, or 6, it was a lower model than our note I know that, so at the very end she said oh my manager says that you guys had an otter box, so you have to pay for repair. WhAt??? Isn”t this what we pay so much for? We had a jacked up otter box, that barely stayed together, and we took off to give them the phone . they completely led us wrong on the phone, they said yes they would handle it no charge on us…then hiding in the back the manager decides nah, they can pay. We have been a customer at another local rent to own place, and this is exactly why we always stay there and have not come here. They stalk you if you miss a payment, by an hour, they call you even though you signed up for auto pay, and then they don”t help you when your paying weekly for a phone. They should have loaned Us the phone, fixed ours, and that”s it. We spend a lot of money, and should not be taken advantage of just because we went this route to get our phone.

About two years ago I rented a queen sized mattress from the RAC in Laredo, Texas on Guadalupe St. I explained to the employee that I needed to rent a queen bed for a month because my mother was coming for a visit, but I didn”t want to purchase one. The employee said that I had sign a contract for a three month rental and when I returned it I would receive a credit for the remaining time on the contract. The manager explained that I could not receive a cash refund because RAC”s ultimate goal is to sell the furniture not to rent it. I was uncomfortable with the situation, but I needed the bed, so I agreed. Some time later I found myself in the same situation of needing a short term rental and wanted to use my credit. It was at that time that I was informed I couldn”t use that credit for rentals, it could only be used for purchases. Great, I wish I had known that before. Again, I rented the bed and the credit remained unused. It has now been about a year and a half and my husband and I are looking for a bed for my son, so remembering the credit I went to buy the bed a RAC. I received such a negative attitude about wanting to pay cash for the bed and use my credit. Finally, I was given such an inflated price that it is actually cheaper to let the store keep the credit of $138.00 and buy the bed somewhere else. When I asked the manager why the price was so inflated he said it was because RAC is a rental store not a retail store. So which is it? Are you trying to sell furniture as I was originally told, or trying to rent it? I really feel misled and cheated. Maybe it”s a matter of training your store managers on how to explain company policy and use straightforward honest, language rather than manipulating language and only explaining what is needed to “make the sale”.

In the text i was told that i was to pay now or they”re picking up only and underlined only! I am only a week late and feel harrassed by an employee who is texting me from his personal cell phone which i think should be off limits for an employee to use a personal phone and not a company phone . As a current employee, i think I can help on your phone call problem. We are required to call, its called an FRC (Friendly Reminder Call) some people don’t mind, some do. If you wish not to get called all you say is I don’t want and FRC if you do, I wont pay til Monday. That will work, they want you in there on saturday. But if they respect that wish, you need to hold up your end of the deal and be there when you are due. If you end up not coming in on saturday, and they call you the following saturday, thats because you put yourself on the chronic deliquent list. Just like you, we have a job, and we have daily goals. The phone is one of our strongest tools. Do you think we want to knock on your door? Do you think we want to take your stuff? Communication is a key factor in Rent-To-Own. Don’t be scared if we call. If we call answer it, say I’ll be in on this time, and the calls stop. Just keep up your end of the deal and both parties are happy. I hope I’ve helped.

As a landlord, we have to evict tenants on occasion. On two separate occasions we have had to deal with this company because the tenants rented from them. We have always followed the law when it comes to our evictions and by law we are required to remove all possessions after an eviction is completed and a sheriff has removed the the tenants from the property. After a certain amount of time, if the property is not picked up, it is moved to the curb or the landlord may keep, sell or basically do whatever he/she wishes with it. Well, Rent a Center went to one of our properties and harassed our new tenants after being told that the person they had a contract with no longer lived there. They were told that the property they were looking for was not there and was asked to vacate the property. Instead of leaving the property, they proceeded to pull their truck onto the lawn and called the police on our tenants and told the police that the tenants were in possession of stolen property! Needless to say our tenants were very upset by this. The company was told that the the person no longer lived there. That should have been the end of it. They should have left and tried to get in contact with the person they had the contract with, Or call us. our tenants should not have had to deal with this. This company needs to realize that when a person is evicted from a property, it is not the landlords responsibility to know that a tenant is renting from them and what they have rented after a eviction has taken place. They DO NOT have the right to harass new tenants! Landlords beware. This company wit try and hold you responsible and harass your new tenant. A VERY ANGRY LANDLORD.

Back in October 2017 I sent my computer back due to a green line appear on my screen. They had it about 2 weeks and and called me that it is fix and to pick it up. The manager said they can”t fix it because They are blaming me for my computer error when there is no damage to it. Today he locked my phone and the message I got was I would have to buy it back. This would be the third time. I only owed 71 dollars on it. Do not rent from this place they are the biggest scam artists around. I rented a washer, dryer and dishwasher from Rent All Super Center. The guys name I dealt with was Darren. I was supposed to be purchasing brand new items from them, instead I got used broken appliances. When I called them to get the items repaired they refused to send someone out so I had to get someone else to repair them and pay for the repairs out of my own pocket. When I called them to tell them that I was not paying brand new prices for used and broken down items they played dirty with me and called me a [censored]ing B**tch (among other things) and told me that I was obligated to pay for the stuff at brand new prices. The payments themselves were $200.00 for 24 months. The manager (Ron) whom I have talked with at length many times is now saying that we have never talked and he doesn’t have a clue who I am. Today the company called me and told me that they were coming to get the old appliances and replace them with new as per Rons’ and my agreement we had via the phone. They came and took away the old appliances and said that they would be back with the new ones and were just waiting for the second truck to come. Ron backed out of the verbal agreement we had and is now denying that he had made any such arrangement with me. So now i have no dryer or dishwasher. I held back the washer and told them that to just be on the safe side, I would keep the washer until the new items came. You guessed it, they never did come back. During my service agreement, they called all my references and harassed them and according to the company they called my deceased grandmother and talked with her as well. How is that possible unless they can talk to the dead as well?! I totally do not recommend leasing or renting from this establishment as they have tricks and deceptive ways up there sleeves. I have filed a complaint with BBB and Consumers Bureau. If you have had or are having any bad dealings with them contact Consumers Bureau at [protected] and the BBB at [protected] right away and file a complaint. The washer I am not returning until I receive $960.00 plus the cost of the repairs which is another $300.00 Again, save yourself and the hassle and go to another company who knows how to treat and keep a customer, because they sure don’t.

Employees are very rude and disregard the customers needs. We schedule appointments with them for merchandise pick up or drop off and their always hours late not caring about the rest of my schedule. What sense does it make to make a schedule if they will not keep their end of the deal? I pay for benefits plus because I was told my merchandise would be covered even after paid in total for a period of time, also that I would be able to set payment arrangements if needed plus receive coupons and other benefits, but when calling for any of those things I get attitude, get yelled at, and told whatever they feel… I get phone calls, voicemails and letters with threats from them if they don”t get what they want when they want it, but when it comes to them reciprocating with good sense of customer service and courtesy it”s not even an option. Especially Page and Lucia from Ren-A-Center in Lemoore CA. Worst customer service ever. It does make me wonder if they ever get trained for customer service but even if they don”t a little education wouldn”t hurt. Little to say I will never be a customer for Rent-A-Center again my experience with them have been by far the worst I”ve ever had in retail stores.

Even though I have heard nothing positive about RAC, I found myself in a position that I needed a new couch and didn’t have the cash upfront to pay for it so I reluctantly filled out the papers to have a couch delivered. It seems in signing the rental agreement, I was also signing up to get called every hour when I’m late with a payment and having their deliverymen/goons actually come to my apartment and pound on my doors 2x a day. This last time, I wasn’t even late and they were on the horn, leaving me message after message and sitting out in my parking lot waiting and peeping in windows. It’s to the point where I am afraid to answer the door or even step outside my door. My kids are afraid to play outside because of the Rent-A-Center people! First and foremost, I agree that my payment was late. However, while my 12 year old son was here alone at my home, two Rent-A-Center employees came to my home kicking and pounding my front and back doors for over a half an hour, damaging my front door and knocking numorous items off of my walls. My child was scared to death and hiding when I arrived home. My neighbors were shocked and were ready to call the police when just as they finally realized that maybe we weren’t home and left. I am shocked that they allow and condone this behavior from their employees. I counted 18 phone calls in an hour when my payment was only 1 day late! This company needs investigated.

Good Morning, I have been a customer of RAC for more than 6 years all products have been paid in full. This week I was four days late and called to make a payment . I was greeted by David who was rude and indicated there would be an additional charge and I needed to pay 200.00 which has never been the case in previous incidents. I have had a great reputation with this company and continue to do business. My call ended with this gentleman threatening me and coming to my home to pick up my product after 4 days. I have never in my life dealt with business conducted in this matter and I am looking at other avenues to bring this to the highest level for review and immediate resolution. This is not helping the customer or great customer service. The best notice to the world is word of mouth and last thing anyone needs is a bad reputation for customer service . Hello I am complaining because I have a monthly agreement for a bedroom set I pay every 2nd Saturday of each month recently I added an air conditioner that I requested be added to my monthly plan.. Hello the store location 3231 South Cobb We Smyrna, GA [protected]. Manager Recordo came to my apartment and told me I had to pay 210.00 before I return product. He took mattress back and then said i still had to pay 210.00 or they will proceed with a warrant to arrest me. I paid a total of 2040.00 on the product and I don”t see how I still owed 400.00 on mattress. This is a very long story really need to speak to someone HIGHER UP. We would still be customers if she did not speak to people in the way she represents the rent a center name. After understanding that she was more interested in arguing, I told her I can either come in friday or she can come pick it up, she kept yelling and I repeated in a low tone, which would you prefer, for me to come in or to call and she said at this point we will pick it up. I said that”s fine, call first, and ended the call. It is unbelievable to me that an individual whom is paid to perform customer service is not required to perform. There is no need to speak to people in a rude manor. I will never be a customer there again and I will spread the word to any of my friends and family to stay clear.

Hi, my name is Kenol Pierre and I would like to provide information on a complaint I would like to mention at a Rent -a-Center store located at 864 Pennsylvania Ave Brooklyn NY 11207. I came in on Friday July 30, 2017 to apply for a chaise sofa and I was greeted and spoke to the Cashier Carmen. She assisted me and i was approved on spot. I paid, signed the contract and was told that she would notify me on Monday afternoon to con firm my delivery date. I was a little hesitant because I knew that I was only off Tuesday and Wednesday to accept the delivery, which I informed Carmen of that and she stated she would see what she could do. Weekend passes, and Monday arrives. I usually leave my house approx. 2pm and I haven”t heard from Carmen or any Rent-a-Center representative regarding the delivery. I head to work and approx. 5-6pm iI called rent-a-center to confirm the delivery and I was greeted with the worst customer service from again Carmen. She proceeded to tell me that they don”t have drivers and she “thinks”: they would deliver on Friday. I explained to Carmen that i needed a definite answer because i couldn”t be waiting around for a delivery when i have errands myself. She then got rude and stated” You can come get your money back then.” I was extremely let down, whereas this was my first experience with rental items and Rent-a-Center itself. I told her i just might do that. She then hung the phone up on me. I called another Rent-a-Center at the 9718 church St, Brooklyn NY and was helped with the most pleasant customer service. The representative made me feel that she wanted to assist me and that was satisfied. She told me to re-do the application and if she could verify my references she could get the sofa delivered that day. however, i couldn”t get all references verified within that time. I called the Pennsylvania Ave location the next day and spoke with Carmen the next day. I was again greeted as if she didn”t know who I was. I asked for a delivery date where it as been 5 days and no contact or delivery from rent-a-center. She then proceeded to tell me that they would deliver the sofa btw 2-4 on Friday. I asked Carmen if there was any way they could come before 1pm on Friday where I have to work. She no said flat-out “NO”. I again explained to her that I have to leave out my house for work by 2pm. She then with a rude tone me “there”s nothing she could do, take it or leave. Come get your money back if you want.” I was flaborgasted by what I was hearing. The customer service was unprofessional. Im not asking for a refund but I wanted the poor customer service at this location to be recognized. I am still interested in my item. I always pay on time and pay off in 90days. But when its time to pay-off my amount is always different from theirs. I always ask why and they always come out with surcharges or taxes, But I’ve added my tax and surcharges are I thought only suppose to be paid if you continue to rent. they even said one time that when you pay extra money on one item that the money sits their like piggy bank money. I am a current customer at Rent-A-Center and have been for some time. I have had repetitive issues with the Store Manager; Mike at the store @ 1768B Columbia Ave, Columbia, PA 17512. For the last several months each and every time I call to make a payment I am held on the phone for over 20 minutes as none of the associates ever seem to be aware of what my actual bill is. I am placed on hold until I am able to speak to store manager Mike. Every single time I call the amount that is owed is different. This to me seems extremely shady and un business like. I have asked him on more than one occasion if this is because someone in the company is pocketing the extra money that I pay. He gets very defensive yet he will not show me anything on the screen or print out any statements to prove other wise. Your manager on more than one occasion has accused me of lying when in fact he has ZERO customer service skills. When going into the store (as he asked) to show proof an employees” wrong doing he purposely did not make himself available as (per his words) ” I am the only person he seems to have a problem with”. He has a “problem” with me because I am the Director oh a physician”s office and know what true customer service is. The way that your “manager” acts is despicable and has chased me away from any further purchases at Rent-A-Center as I am anxious to pay off all accounts and never have to deal with this “manager” again. There have been a few times where I have been late on my account, however this does not ever give an employee the right to treat their customers the way that he has. I did address this with another employee; Frankie during my last visit to Rent-A-Center and he has assured me that I am not the only one who feels this way about Mike. He stated to me that he gets numerous complaints and that his customer service skills are extrememly lacking (in my opinion nonexistent) . Therefore it was decided that any and every time I made contact (including payments) I would make them with Frankie only. During a conversation with the store today I was told by Mike that “i was not allowed” to speak with Frankie and in turn threatened to schedule a time to come pick up my stuff as he “was sick of dealing with me”. Unless I break the contract in place with Rent-A-Center your employees have zero right to threaten me with this. Mike is digusting human being and I would not doubt that he is truly stealing money from other customers and your company. At this time I feel it necessary to discuss with my husband if we should cut our losses and bring all things that we are renting to own back to the store as I am truly sick of the abuse of your “Store Manager”. I am a current customer for the Laporte Indiana location.. have a few things rented from there and am current with all appliances except the refrigerator which is a month behind. I called the store to ask them if we can pay off the 256.00 to avoid a pick up.. Lauren and Brittany were extremely rude and threatening with law action. As a customer service place I expected more polite and professional attitude. I was in a financial bind which drew me to the company for what I believed was an easier solution. Understandably some people are not always punctual about payments but no everyone should be treated so rudely as I have been today. Thank you for your time.

I am a new Rent-A-Center customer, I got a couch, a chair and a television for my disabled 73 year old mother. I ended up in the hospital with walking pneumonia in both my lungs. When I got home, I found out that my mother was not able to drop the payment in the drop box due to her health. I call them and said that my mother had written a check and that I would be in to make the payment and I was VERY VERY rudely talked to and was informed that they do not except a check for payment and that they were coming to get my mother”s furniture this afternoon instead of letting me make the payment. I know that I will not recommend them to anyone . If they will leave an elderly woman sitting in the floor instead of excepting my payment then they are not worthy of my business. You cannot treat your new customers the way I was treated and expect them to refer you to someone else. I called the corporate office and there will also be a complaint filed with the better business bureau and the federal trade commission. Please do not rent anything from their Manchester TN store, the manager will treat you like dirt and to top it all off, they didn”t even deliver the furniture, we picked it up ourselves and set it up for my mother.

I am a single parent and just trying to make it in this economy. Every chance I have to make it a little easier I do. Well those comercials you see about Rent A Center referrals are a bunch of BS! I have been a loyal Rent A Center costomer for quit some time. I at one time enjoyed renting from them. I have now been accused of stealing a washer and dryer that there manager sold to myself and my father. It turned out that there manager was tking money from the store and they had the nerve to call me and ask me to come up and continued to inform me that my washer and dryer was not paid for and that I would prob have to talk to the police because they did not show that I paid for it and I didn”t have a reciept for it I had paid for it in cash and the manager was un able to give me a reciept at that time that I could come back and pick on up when the printer was fixed, Needless to say that I was in there paying my bill on a diffrent item and low and behold once a agian they said that they could not print me a reciept because the printer was down after just pretty much accusing me that I didn”t pay for my other stuff because I didn”t have the reciept 4 months later??? What the heck??? Finnally it was resolved and I still have my washer and dryer. Now I just found out that I had 42 refurrals saved up to help pay for my tv, because being a single parent I need help sometimes so I have those to help when needed and I worked my butt off to get them!!! I find out that they are now taking those away from me? How can they so that???? I earned them, the new manager told me him self how many I had and that I was able to use them how I wanted too???? Now he is taking them away? This is truely unfair How can they keep accuseing customers of things then taking what they have earned away??? I am in shock and in a lost for words. Is this even legal???

I am also renting some merchandise from Rent-A-Center and I ran into some medical difficulties and was not able to pay for my merchandise a couple of times, but the kicker is that I ALWAYS kept in contact with the staff there to keep them informed of my situation and they were understanding… AT FIRST!! I agree with another article that one posted on this site that states ‘as soon as you’ve had the merchandise for a long period of time and are almost payed off then they want to start acting shady.’ Now that I have been paying on my merchandise for over a year – they are all of the sudden not as understanding about late payments. Before it was like ‘okay – that is fine pay us next week’ or ‘no problem we will just tack it onto the end of your payments’ (which I hope everyone is aware that they are able to do that and believe they do), now that I payed them a month’s worth of payments in one week they are still demanding more and want to come and pick up my merchandise. They will literally stalk you – they take their call of duty a little too far for my taste. Now what if they stalk the wrong person and get killed in the meantime? Is it really worth it to one of them? They have been known to block out their number when they call the house, sit at the end of your road until they see some movement and then try to jump out on you, they have been around the back of my house to look in windows, and they have even came in one of their own personal vehicles. Enough is Enough. Do they really pay these associates enough money to risk their lives by stalking their customers…

I am completely unsatisfied with how Rent-A-Center works with customers. I purchased an acer laptop about 2 months ago, and have been making bi-weekly payments on it. I just lost my job (due to the economy) and notified Rent-A-Center of what had happened. Next thing I know, they are sending their workers to my doorstep to collect the computer or the money—-along with the next 2 weeks payment. On top of that, they called EVERY SINGLE ONE of my references and emergency contacts. that’s 8 people!!! How embarrassing!!! So now, my whole family and close friends knows what’s going on cause Rent-A-Center call them at least twice a day!!! UGH! I am so irritated and sick of this place…I am returning my laptop and will never talk highly of rent-a-center!

I am currently 8 months pregnant and decided to get some furniture with rent a center. I was told the set I wanted is not available and to choose another set and they would make sure the store has it. I chose another set, finalized the paperwork, and scheduled my delivery. The day of the delivery I got a call stating that they do not have the pieces for the set and that they do not know when they will be able to get it or do anything about it. I already took apart my other furniture and paid people to move it out. I currently have my bedroom items all in the living room and there is no space for my children or myself. I”m very upset with my first time purchase and can”t believe that there immediately issues with my first purchase. I”m 8 months pregnant and this is not what I need to be dealing with. I”m still waiting on a return call from rent a center with a solution and it is almost 6 so I have a feeling the stores will close and no one will give regard to the situation I”ve been put in because of a mistake on rent-a-center”s end.

I am not a Rent a Center customer and have never even been in one of their stores before. They have been calling me for weeks looking for someone else and I have repeatedly told them that this isn’t the person they’re looking for, that I recently got this phone number, and asked them to quit calling me. If anything, this caused their calls to become more persistent and they get really rude like I’m lying to them or something. I don’t know how many managers and employees I spoke to, each of them saying that my number had been removed from the system and I would not recieve a call again. I’m sure they hear that excuse all the time, but does it not occur to them that it might be true in some cases? These people are awful, based on that I would never do business with them.

I am not even a customer but it tempted become a customer yesterday which was August 17th I attempted to use the website to fill out the application now in each attempt there were multiple tries to get it correct I attempted four times and each time as I said there was a subset of trying for different times to get the information to go through I never got a return call I had to return the call to them in order to find out that they didn”t have well won the information as required as I stated I did online and two I hadn”t got a call back because of that so then the manager gets on the phone and explains that she just has a couple questions that seem to have been missed next thing I know is that it each part of the application that I did online very little information was passed on so then I”m or less was attempting to fill out the application on the telephone with the manager the online part every time I told her that I filled that part out she would say no really know whether she was questioning whether or not I actually did or whether or not the question was there I don”t know but at the way that it come across she was having a hard time believing that the question wasn”t there made it as soon that I either skipped it or had no desire to fill out that question so I couldn”t even become a customer I couldn”t even fill out the full application with her because of my PTSD anxiety issues and told her that I would just call her back today now I”m not going to make an attempt to call them because I”ve decided that I”m not going to do it for a used to in one computer I will not make an attempt today to call them because I”ve decided not to do it for this computer but anyway I will let you a dollar to a doughnut that they will not attempt to call me either because you know as whatever reason they want to use as to why they couldn”t get to me today I”m sure they will be a justifiable reason

I am presently renting a Dell Desk Top Inspiron. It crashes every 28 min. I spoke to a store representative, in regards to exchanging the Dell, for the online model ( MSi 27″ Gaming Desktop Computer.) I was told it had to be ordered, which was fine by me, at that time, This is week One! Then I receive a phone call, stating that ” I Had To Order It Online” because it couldn”t be delivered to the store? WHAT!!! OK, so I try to order this PC online. Needless to say, I WAS DENIED! now mind you I an already renting a Pc from Rent a Center, I am asking for a REPLACEMENT! AN EXCHANGE! I already have an account? I am renting from Wichita Falls TX. They will not work with you on any payment or half a payment. The manager is very rude and hateful. I was late due to an emergency and she has been hateful and rude to everyone. She was telling everyone at my job my business. Her name is Yvonne. She don’t need to be a manager she makes threats that will scare you. She scared my kids at home beating on the door like she was mad. I am so made at rac because i am missing money that i paid on my account and they keep telling me a different balance that is higher and that is not right even though i have three kids and trying to make a honest living with rac stealing your money as you make payments and thats not right. Also i had the granite city driver Robby do a road rage on me in collinsville on october 2nd 2008 about 10;30am about total my truck and i think that was bogus which i kind wish it would have happened then that means they would have to cover that for sure.

They came and got my sons Computer and they took speakers that were not theres and now they will not return them back and they said they gave Christopher Hernandez speakers and they in fact did not. We have since then tried being nice about it but they just being rude about it and i want to file this complaint against them, A white male came to get the computer and my Wife Deanna Hernandez called them back and told them about it and the manager said that he thought those weren’t the speakers and said and I quote. “We will bring them back this afternoon.” and they still wont give them back. They said they issued them adn instead they said they picked ours up instead and they are not required to give our speakers back. Basically they came in our house and stole our speakers. I am writing to tell u how distafied I am with ur company. I had gotten my kids Christmas gifts a TV, PS4 and an XBox 1 s and cuz I lost my job and have been trying to do wat I can to make a payment I get called a lier by ur store and being a single mom of 2 and have to pay everything I can”t always make the payment.
