Dear Sir, A week before I have received a credit card from RBS which I have requested and it was life time free as agent told me. Without activating this card I have received an SMS as well as email to pay 10 dhs for the card. I have called to the call centre and enquire about this payment he stateway told me that this is monthly maintenance cost that i have to every month. I tried to explain about this card is free for life time, what the agent told me but he didn’t listen and he registered my complain and told me after making a payment you can cancel this card. After making payment 10 dhs I have called again then I got to know the card sent to me is platinum card and there is no charges for this, the charge for weekend card which i havn’t received yet andI have requested for that. Call centre guy told me to make payment and the card number provided by call centre agent because I have dont have weekend card. I have argued also with him how any one can pay without knowing a card number but again he didn’t listent me at all. So latest scenario I have to pay 10 dhs for the card which i havn’t received and only after payment i can cancel the card. So please suggest me how i can sue them. ever since RBS has taken over ABN AMRO there has been a huge change in the attitude of the customer care executives.When ABN AMRO first handed over me my credit card it was taken only in one condition that they will provide me collection services since the nearest Bank Branch is around 2 hour drive from my house – a promise that ABN AMRO had sincerely kept for three years. When RBS took over, the situation changed like hell.In one month I had false collectors coming to my place and trying to collect the payment in cash. Then suddenly the the next month without ANY PRIOR INFORMATION, RBS stopped the collection service. Then started verbal abuse by the customer care executives – as if i will run away with their money. Even when i explained my situation and told them that since i had to travel for two hours and make a cash deposit in their branch (that is what they claimed to be the only mode of payment) and settled for a date by which i will make the payment, i received around 4 to 5 calls a day from a lady who called her “Kasish” and i ultimately had to complain to the customer service manager. I paid my dues on the mentioned date. This month just two days ago a person cal;led me about the payments and i told them i would be paying by today.Right from today morning there has been around 5 calls to my cellphone, my office number, my home landphone, using abusive languages from the same lady “kasish” . When i tried to complain to RBS-strangely their website is non-functional.Who gave the RBS customer service (typically that lady) the audacity to speak like that?I have been holding this card for more than three years and never had an issue as long it was ABN AMRO -but RBS customer support either does not know the meaning of the word “customer support” or they purposely hire people with such an abusive tongue who dont have any idea how to behave with people. I would be grateful if this matter is forwarded to the concerned authority who should know what their customer service executives have been doing in the name of customer service.

For a number of years, I have had an RBS CashBack Platinum Mastercard which I kept in good standing. In December, my statement did not arrive and I missed the payment. I received a call from the company a week after the due date. I explained the situation and made an electronic payment immediately. With my next bill, I saw that my entire balance, previously at a 5.99% promotional rate, had jumped to a 26.24% rate!! Unlike other companies I have dealt with over the years, several calls to explain the situation and work with the company did nothing. When I expressed my desire to close my account, I was informed that if I did so before the balance was paid in full, the rate would go 2 points higher!! Avoid this company at all costs. They are looking for a chance to play “bait and switch” regardless of your credit rating or history with them.

For those who forget to write and get a payment mailed in time, why is it that I can not find a RBS branch so that I do not to incur a late charge? It is a shame that I have a $60.00 bill that will not make it to the post location in time and will be late to incur a $30.00 dollar penalty. hello sir. i join to work dubai at 2004 as a labour that time my salary is 950dhs. then after 2years i went to india i study cad and i join the same company as a draughtman. salary is 2000dhs. then i got one offer from other company 4500dhs. so i resign my job. company put 6month band. that new company gave me a vist visa to work. i came back and work at dubai.then i reseve one call from old company. they need me to join again that same company. they offerd me 7000dhs. so i join that old company again. i sing that contract 7000dhs. then i apply for credit card. i used it. after 2months i reseve 2 letters from my company. one is termination letter and other is salary detectation letter.then i take salary 3000dhs. i sign second one. after that still now i am paying minimam amount only. now last 3 or 4 months company giving the salary after the date of 20. sometime salary is not coming for one month.so i cant pay my dues on date.bank says they r going to file a case on me.i dont know what i have to do. please sir give me a idea to solve my problems. if bank file case on me. what the police can do. i dont have money to pay so what is action from police. my credit card total amout is 25000dhs. please replay me soon sir. mail me sir please [protected]@yahoo.co.uk . if police put me into the jail then how i will pay the bank amount without working in office? please help me

Hi there I am forced to write this compaint with a hope to get some support from the central compaint cell; please have a look at the history and issues; 1) I joined one top line FMCG in Dubai back in 2006 – and as a happy account holder of ABN Amro Pakistan preferred only ABN AMro UAE for my salary transfer; 2) I open one master and one Visa Card – on which due transactions and payments were made 3) The level of service started becoming terrible as I had to wait for the statements, fax etc for long time and un attended 4) I finally opted for HSBC once I moved into the new Job back in 2007. 5) Since then almost two times people contacted me to offer smart cash loans and I took and paid as well 6) There was no follow up why am I not banking with ABN any more; though still usuing the credit cards and smart cash 7) For last many months the balance of my cards were not coming down and to mention you here the cards were not used for atleast a year coz they were expired. 8) Finally I called and asked them that I would like to settle the cards in full- They informed me over the phone one amount which I paid in full on the 10th of October 9) Today I asked the customer service and they again asked for extra 235 AED, to be paid and for the the Manager will call me back after 24 HOURS!!! he is not willing me to speak to the manager…A customer cannot speak to a complaint Manager if he is not satisfied with the phone banking executive – Mr.Sandeep 10) He also now informed me that as i Have not closed my Salary account so automatically the bank transfer the account on personal and start charging me 100 AED per month and have accumulated AED 2000/= 11) No Letter, phone call, show cause, information etc were made to myself for this effect – Why? the answer is that this is Bank policy and I should be aware…they are not liable to inform me??? Please accept my humble compaint..after paying all this years on my credit cards – and settling down in one shot…RBS is now asking for current account charges. I may please seek your assistance to help me with this. I hope some one will consider one day why a customer moved to HSBC as a “status” account holder with huge facilities and customer service – I used to enjoy the same with ABN AMRO Pakistan, however, here in UAE – as a customer who has paid all cannot reach to teh Manager. I had a “life of the loan” agreement with RBS at a low rate. When RBS decided to “change” their agreement and triple raise the rate I decided to pay it off and cut up my card. After a fight, I called for the total amount due and was given the pay off amount and paid them off ($3700) on line that same day. I just received an additional bill for a finance charge. Very small amount but a principal issue. I refuse to pay it!! I am retired, could care less if they send it to collections (if they are stupid enough to do that and I think they are) but I will not pay it. RBS is a company who preys on good customers. I paid relegiously more than the minimum payment due. They can take their Finance Charge and stick it where the sun “don’t” shine. I sent them back the invoice, paid the postage relunctly, and told them exactly that.

I have a 1 payment delay on my loan with RBS bank UAE (ABN AMRO) and the collections dept. people are calling me (MR. Khan [protected] and Mr. malik Azhar Majeed [protected]) and started to tell me indecent words, such sa B***ch, stupid lady, idiot and the [censored] word. when I explain why there is delay on my payment, they are telling me to shut UP and they said they don”t need my explanation. they don”t care if I lost my job, what they care is that I should pay no matter where I get the money from. is this a prestigious bank treats their customer? they even tell me that I am not a customer but a Defaulter. I will file a police case and escalate this matter up to their board level as this is not acceptable at all.

I have been using RBS Worldpay for 5 months now. I have not had any issues with them until last week. I noticed that I did not get my deposit, so I called on Friday. They said they are going to hold around $6000 because I had a couple chargebacks, which they already collected out of my bank account. Why do they have to hold more money if they already got the money back? They told me they would hold it for 30 days and I would get it back. Fine. I played along. He did tell me a couple more were coming in as well totalling $1100, which they also took from my account. He then told me no more funds would be held. I ran a big sale and had great results and charged about $25K this weekend. Well, I check my account and nothing. I call up and now they elevate me to another risk department that now says they are closing my account and will hold everything in there (about $30K) for 6 months!!! I need that money to operate. I can”t have that money tied up. Also, they gave me no notice and just did it. They said they mailed me a notice that I should get within a couple days. So, does that mean they wanted me to keep charging so they can hold more and more until their letter gets to me? These guys are a bunch of crooks and I have already reported them to the BBB and I will not stop here. I am going to make sure everyone knows who these crooks are.

I just opened a Juniper account and now find all the complaints here… scary. But “RBS Credit Card Services” dba Kroger Personal Finances, Kroger Master Card, Fred Meyer Master Card, (and probably more) burned me worse than any of the reports I see here about Juniper. In particular their brochure and application invited “Free Transfer From Other Credit Cards” and “No Interest for Nine Months.” But it was/is all a crock. Not only did they levy multiple “transfer fees” against me as-of the very first DAY, they reneged on the “no interest” for the transferred balances AND on PURCHASES in THEIR OWN stores (Fred Meyer) PLUS have increased the RATE of interest every single month since I transferred from the “Higher” (12% card)to their “promised” “0% for 9 months.” I got stuck for transfer fees plus have had interest raised every single month since, day one (September 2006). Interest of last statement was about 65%: “minimum finance charge” I tried to report them to local Consumer Protection (State of Washington) but got nowhere. I did report them repeatedly to the BBB in the states they”re registered (CT, RI), and yesterday suddenly MY Credit Report shows about a dozen alleged “delinquencies” (according to HSBC Master Card) — But I get brushed-off by Experian etc every time I try to get a copy of that alleged “Credit Report” – In violation of several state and federal laws. I paid “Kroger Personal Finances” off COMPLETELY in December 2006 — but am still (February 2007) being “accessed interest on interest” (on the “0% advances”) — Although I was never late for a single payment since I got the card. And Kroger Personal Finance is still sending me blank checks imprinted “0% interest” in the same envelopes as the +60% “interest on interest” billing statements.
