– [ ] The customer service at the Mililani Safeway store in Honolulu, Hawaii is the worst. On numerous occasions service was requested but no one was in sight. I had to walk across the store and look for a employee for help only to wait 5-10 minutes for someone to assist me. After all that, I had to wait another 5-10 minutes in a ridiculous long line. There is only 2 of 7 lines open with a large number of unhappy customers with very few items who have to wait to be checked out. Whats going on with the management? This store needs to be held accountable for their unacceptable service. Love the store and location but not the long lines and service.

I do not even know where to begin with this company I plan to write a review on every site to warn consumers because these people”s practices are unfair and borderline illegal I hired them for my move from coral springs to orlando. I did it in good faith because I wanted a stress free move where they would handle your things with professionalism and care. . . Well this was absolutely not the case! They arrived a day late, (First red flag) inconveniencing everyone because we were moving from an apartment which we had to be out of. I was confirmed for april 3, noon and no one showed up or called. Daniel who was the sales rep called me from a wedding to say that the truck broke down and they would reschedule pick up the following day. My husband and I had both taken the day off from work under the impression that this move would be done and we could resume the next day. We were at the end of the lease and had to be out of the apartment. Now we had to take an extra day off from work. They were punctual the following day arriving at the promised time, the movers were very professional and handled our items with care. However, they came charging $2000 more than the original quote, and this was after they loaded the truck. Said it would be an additional $750 to unload after I had paid them if I didn”t use their services. The closing on my house was delayed but we had to get out of there regardless so I had rented a self storage, I told them to just deliver me to the storage. Daniel advised me that it was free store with them and once everything was a go with the storage, just call them and let them know. I cancelled my self staorage and sent my items with them, not knowing that they would be held in an undisclosed location in miami somewhere. One month later I get an email saying “storage due – $980”. I contact them like there must be a mistake. . . I know what daniel told me. The manager a woman named julia basically said “well I don”t know what he told you but these are the fees” and “this is the moving business honey, you shouldn”t have signed if you didn”t want to pay”. I was yelling and she basically told me they would auction my stuff if the bill isn”t paid / . I guess she was tired of speaking with me because she sent my call to a line that eventually went to voicemail. The invoices contain no address so I don”t even know if this place is in orlando, for all I know they could be operating out of someone”s basement. When I asked how to pay, since there was no address they sent an email with an account number for chase to deposit funds. I made the deposits, kept note of dates etc. When asked the location of my items samantha told me they are not allowed to tell me, only that they are somewhere in miami. This isn”t even the good part. Susan was somewhat helpful, especially when it was time for delivery and I was told that I owed $2775 in storage fees. I asked her how, and broke down the dates I made my deposits comparing to my receipts and check drafts which I thank the lord that I kept track of because I think this is the only reason they applied the funds to my account. Otherwise they would have tried to suck more money out of us. After getting the account issue settled, delivery date comes, and the driver gives me a total different price than what was owed. First off I was told that they would see if they can waive the last month of storage, never got an answer until the last minute. I just paid it. At this point I just wanted my things. Driver states I owe $1400. Luckily I requested an account update and prunette emailed this to me, driver had to adjust accordingly. There seems to be a huge disconnect within this company altogether, or these folks just do what they want to do. Continuing with delivery day, we got four guys, very professional, however when they opened the truck it was a nightmare. The guys who initially packed from the apartment did a fantastic job, but when I received my items there was multiple broken and missing items. My couch was unwrapped and we had wrapped these things ourselves in shrink wrap, the couch totally ruined like it was burned and the back was broken. My mom was in tears. I don”t know why my things were unwrapped, perhaps they were going to try to sell it who knows. They broke the lamps, threw things in the boxes marked as “fragile” so many glass items are broken and destroyed. For all the money we paid I thought that they would handle our items with respect instead they totally disregarded everything, and there are so many things still missing. The movers advised that there are different people who load the truck from the unknown storage location. My tables are scratched up, chipped, my couch looks as if it”s been burned. Please avoid the mistake that we made using these people. Thousands of dollars thrown away. They are crooks and need to all be investigated. It”s a shame to do this to people. The good reviews that I read I am still trying to figure out where those came from. Please take this as a warning. My husband and I work hard for our money as I know most of the consumers on here do, otherwise you wouldn”t be seeking reviews. I could write more but I think you all get the gist of my experience. – Date of incident: 6/2/2018 – Client number: Same as phone [protected] – I”ve been a Safeway client for more than a decade now. This Saturday, i went to Safeway and made a 51.78 $ purchase at Store 2734 including two pre-packed Salmon fillet packs each labelled 50% off, for about 20$. When arriving home, i cooked a small piece of one of them and ate it. Later that day, i sensed a bad smell in the freezer, which turned out to be coming from the salmon. It was distinct despite being in the freezer! I immediately trashed them and placed the trash away since it was a terrible smell and went to the nearest Safeway with the empty packs and asked for a reimbursement, which i got. The branch manager was very helpful and agreed with me and even didn”t want to throw the empty packs in the nearby garbage bin since he feared the smell to propagate even though the packs were empty. Instead he trashed them far enough. When i arrived back home, the worst weekend i”ve ever had was about to start. Vomiting, diarrhea, throwing-out, dizziness were all involved. I scheduled a doctor appointment tomorrow Monday and will skip work for that. – Requested resolution: I would like Safeway to reimburse me for the direct costs, indirect costs (work missed, weekend activities, ..) and most importantly the inconvenience incurred. I have spent thousands of dollars at Safeway during the past years and deem such reimbursement as being fair. I think 200$ is less than the inconvenience incurred and is a minimum one could ask for. I”ve purchased Salmon from Safeway for a long time now and never got a problem. I understand it was an unintentional mistake but it did hurt me a lot. – Receipt is attached. 07/02/18 at 2:15pm. We were served by Alicia Michele in Berkeley. We are disgusted at the treatment we received. She was rude, abrupt and acted in an extremely unprofessional manner. We shop in Safeway on shattuck avenue every week and have never had any problems in the store until today. We are all 21 and went to buy alcohol showing our legitimate ID. As our ID is Irish she would not accept it and asked for a passport. Once we presented the passport she decided to only let us buy half of our groceries. And simply said “hmm no I”m not going to do it today, have a good day”. If Alicia decided the ID was acceptable for half of our groceries (which it most definitely is) she had no right to decline the rest of it. This is extremely aggrivating and offputting for regular customers. We would like to let a higher member of staff be aware of this before other customers are served by her and decide they are also going to shop elsewhere from now on.

08/24/18 I went to order a birthday cake, when I got to the bakery there was a woman by the name Angela she was assisting a couple very cordial, when it was my turn she started to speak in a very loud voice and talked to me as if I was deaf ” If-you-want-to-order-a-cake-you -need-to-do-it-NOW!. At the moment I was with my daughter and I didn”t want to make a big deal about it, so I patiently explained what cake I was going to order when it explained what I wanted to be written on the cake, she asked me very loud again like if I was deaf. DO YOU WANT IT IN SPANISH?. At that point I asked her if she could read English?, I did not see the need to ask me that, I spoke English, she ignored me and tried to make feel worthless. The next day I sent my daughter to pick up the cake when she got home I checked the cake and it wasn”t even the one I ordered. The one I ordered was supposed to be a soccer field cake with 2 players and a 2 soccer goals in each side. See attached what we got instead. I truly believe she did it on purpose. I was talking to my Guests (we live in the area) They also told me that they had encounter bad experiences with this woman, and that she usually works at the self cash registers my brother told us of how one time he finished his purchase and was about to leave when she yelled at him and ask him to his receipt, He said that was unusual since he was in line and he didn”t see her asking other people for their receipts. As you know your business is doing good thanks to all the diverse customers you have, and to attract and retain diverse customers, you need to either educate your employees or let go of the bad apples. When I saw the cake my daughter brought home I called the Manager Andrea and she offered a $10 Gift Card. I do not want a gift card, a $10 Gift Card doesn”t ease the bad moment she made me, and my family member go through, and I”m sure more people have encountered bad moments with this employee. I want you to make sure all the customers get treated with respect, and dignity.

1. Still keep an item a week old expired on regular shelf. I did not have time to look for expiry date of each item, just grab it and noticed that it was a week past. Sabra guacamole. 2. Bought hot item food and got messy bleed of ink all over container and some leak into the food. Don”t wanna eat it due to hygiene. Pls see attached photo. Very unhappy. Safeway is the closet grocery but found the location lack of enough staff, attention to detail and often time wrong pricing.

1/24/18 1545pm Re: Armin Quedzuwit (pharmacist) I work for Ramah Care Services, inc in Gallup NM. We have approx 30 individuals who receive their medications through Safeway pharmacy. I have been in contact with the pharmacy almost every day. We had agreed that I would drop cycle fill (30 day fill for all individuals) on the 15th of January, which I did. My understanding is that our medications would be filled approx 1 weeks time for all individuals as the previous pharmacist would do. However we have been recieving “attitude” from the pharmacy including techs (Fabian & Clarinda) by letting them know we needs meds filled on a certain date. While there at the pharmacy today, we exchanged words about dates meds needed. I tried to avoid an argument, however Armin proceeded to continue as I went down to the pick up window. I specifically told him I didn”t want to talk to him anymore. While at the pick up window, Armin then began to explain his understanding. I told him to stop and just let me sign for meds I needed to pick up. He then said “you know what? thats exactly why you get attitude from us”…that made me more angry and I stopped listening. He raised his voice and I told him not to raise his voice at me. He then proceeded to scan meds. I mumbled some words…and he said “what?” I said “nothing”…he said “no tell me what you said”…I said that “I missed the old pharmacist” and he said “well good to know”… He then told me “his expectation for next time is that we call in our medications when we need them”…I said “ok well my expectation is that you”d have our medications filled by now”…Nothing further was said. We have had multiple issues with this pharmacist since he has started. I would like some type of corrective action taken so that I am no longer spoken to like this again, or treated this way.

10/21/18 Store 1186 27035 Pacific Hwy S Des Moines WA 98198. I was going to make a Martini and also French Onion soup. Unfortunately I couldn”t find the vermouth. I sent about 30 minutes going through the wine section with no luck. Finally checked out the liquor section with no luck. I then went through check out and asked the cashier for a bottle of gin and a bottle of dry vermouth. He didn”t know what vermouth was. He asked me to show him and I said I hadn”t been able to find it. He said he didn”t know what it was or what it was for. I asked if there was anyone who could help me and he said I would need to go through customer service. So after checking out I went over to CS and wait in line for sometime …long lines for lottery tickets. She finally told me she did know no what vermouth was and didn”t know if they carried it. Then some young kid came by and wanted to know if he could help me. he said he was new but do what he could to try and help. we look but had no luck. He then asked another cashier and she didn”t know what it was either. I spent over and 1 1/2 hours looking with no results and was mystified that nobody I was able to talk to knew what vermouth was. I am a loyal Safeway shopper and know I”ve purchased vermouth before at Safeway, I never have had such a disappointing experience. I”m wrong do you not carry vermouth? I liked a free bottle of extra dry vermouth please.

13111 W Alameda Pkwy, Lakewood, CO 80228 I come here almost every weekend and it has gotten progressively worse. Your employees THROW my food across the belt and are very snarky. They bag very poorly, and groceries are very expensive. I spend between $100 and $200 every time and I do not feel like coming home and having everything ruined or crushed. 2201 E Madison St Seattle, WA 98112 Phone([protected] Today I am very displeased with the service provided by one of the deli employees to my girlfriend and I. Lets start off with this- all of my other experiences at this location have exceeded standards. I have lived in the area for over a year now and visit this location for all my grocery needs. Today at approx 11:36 am 9/03/2018, I had just finished up shopping for tonight”s dinner and I was hungry so I resorted to grabbing some deli for the way home. I approached the deli glass and was welcomed by the attendant “Anna” about 15 seconds post approach. Reasonable timing for a deli wait… Once the attendant approached me at the glass she didn”t verbalized a welcoming except with her eyebrows. She gave my partner and I a raised eyebrow look like, “Yeah I”m here now what the hell do you want to eat” type of look. That didn”t bother me as much as the behavior that she presented after I ordered my two pizza sticks and two corn dogs. When she was ringing me up she place both of the bags on the top of the counter where the weighing station is located. I politely asked Anna, “Could you please ring me out at one of the registers here?” She responds, “Yeah I mean…” and walked over the the nearest register to the right with me. When we arrived at the register she had advised me that someone was currently logged in and that she was unable to log in and assist me because of it. So I recommended trying the other register which was to the left of me towards the Chinese department of the deli. Once we arrived there she had also advised me that someone was logged in to that machine as well. So I asked her a question that I already know the answer to, “Can you please log out and log in as yourself, I”m always able to get rung out here? Whats the issue?” She said that there is nothing she can do and threw up her hands as if I was supposed to find my own way of resolution. This is what really embarrassed me and made me upset. She treated me as if I wasn”t important enough to just ring me out for a couple damn corn dogs. Anna had nearly caused a scene waving her arms around like I”m the crazy one for asking for a simple task, a simple satisfaction… I was fed up with her attitude so I grabbed the two bags of food and walked over to the self check out to complete my transaction. After checking out I walked over to Anna to advise her that I would be submitting a formal complaint against her for the unacceptable experience that she had provided me today. She acted as if she didn”t care proceeded to raise her hands again and shouted at me “It”s just the way it is!” Yelling as I was walking away. I can tell you this Safeway. I write you this letter to acknowledge the issues that need to be addressed by your cooperation. I have nothing against your company. I will continue shopping with you for now. Yet, if I see her (Anna) face behind that deli counter I can assure you that I will not be visiting any area of the Deli department. Furthermore, if this issue isn”t addressed properly I may consider shopping elsewhere for that would indicate a poor cooperate critical issue resolution policy for which I personally have no time for in this short life we live. 5/23/18 757 E 20th Ave, Denver, CO 80205 Pharmacist manager On 5/21/18 I called in to get my prescription filled, they had to call my doctor to get the new prescription. I was heading out of town in two days and needed my thyroid medication. The pharmacist on the phone was very nice and said he would give me a few days supply to last while I was out of town while they got my prescription together. On 5/23/18 I went in to pick up my prescription, I noticed the pharmacist was helping an older lady with her paperwork but seemed to be very short with her. She left to wait for her medication and I approached the front of the line. The pharmacists made me wait about 3-5 min while he shuffled about doing paperwork. I kindly asked he “Excuse me, I am about to be late for my flight” his response was “well I”m late too.” He ignored my request for service and continued doing paperwork. Finally, he came to the counter to realize my perspective wasn”t ready and began treating me that “as a pharmacist, I can use my discretion if I feel an emergency perception” he said that twice while he filled my five day supply of thyroid medication. While he was filling the prescription he was saying rude comments and treating me very poorly. I said to him, I”m a customer please treat me like one. And he repeated his “discretion” quote. Finally, we were able to have a conversation about how I was treated and he never apologized. This pharmacy has been very hard to work with, I have tried very hard to get an automatic refill and it has only caused issues for the last three months. The fact that my doctor wasn”t notified that I needed a refill the day my perception ran out shows inefficacies in your operations. The way the pharmacist treated me and other customers show that he either hates his job or need support at the pharmacy. Perhaps the pharmacy is understaffed. Either way, I will be pulling my prescriptions from your pharmacy for lack of service and how I was treated. I have never been treated so poorly by anyone who worked in customer service. I try to support local stores, but this really was unnecessary and I hope the pharmacist knows that customers are the reason he has a job. I don”t want a refund, I just want this perception filled so that I can move my prescriptions to another place where I will be treated kindly. I also would like the pharmacist to get some more staff, and be warned of his behavior. Thank you.

Aisles crowded with trash and carts and not enough cashiers! I purchased Jonas Crab Claws at seafood/ meat counter. When I got home they were spoiled rotten! Distinct ammonia smell. I called the store and they said to RETURN THEM. To bring back spoiled food to a grocery store? When I told the meat counter person (Charles) on the phone that it was unsanitary and a health code violation. Cross contamination was probably already there and this could increase that risk. he hung up on me! This is the worst Safeway in Tucson. 6/8/2018, I shopped at Safeway at the above address because my family wanted to have some chicken wings. When I saw that half of the BBQ chicken wings were heavily burnt yet I ran out of time to find another place to satisfy my family”s needs, I told one salesclerk to please pack several wings that were not so heavily scorched. The salesclerk didn”t get it the first time, so I had to get closer and let him know which wings I couldn”t accept. Then suddenly, a man came very close to me and startled me by a “pushing” gesture. After that, he yelled “Step back! Step back!” and went away. I didn”t know who he was and why he yelled, but his behavior was very rude. When I checked out at the food department, I met him again and he acted as a cashier now. When he saw me, instead of having any intent to apologize for his improper behavior, he proudly claimed that he was the manager, Ramon Yu, and I should obey him. (What? Are you a policeman? Am I suppose to obey anyone who yelled at me at Safeway without knowing who he was and why I was yelled at?— I didn”t say these but his manner was very offensive and insulting, which made me even more unhappy.) I patiently explained why I needed to get closer to the salesclerk. I explained I couldn”t get my words across when I first said them. Ramon Yu simply said “then you should repeat and repeat.” (When should a customer carry all the burden to get served?) I replied “then probably you may also consider to train your employees better.” Ramon Yu harshly replied, “THEN YOU SHOULD NOT SHOP HERE. ” What? This is how a Safeway manager should reply to a customer”s advice? If Ramon Yu was a qualified manager, he could have improved at least in three aspects: 1) train his employees not to burn food so badly—-they are carcinogenic; 2) train his employees to be more attentive to clients” requests; and 3) if he doesn”t want his clients to get closer to his salesclerks, tape a sign on the floor to alert people.(BTW, I am a 5″2″ female. I was at least 40cm from the salesclerk and I spoke softly. I had no idea why this distance is inappropriate and Mr. Yu did not explain to me either.) In sum, Mr. Ramon Yu is extremely rude and inexperienced. He didn”t have the right personality to serve customers nor did he has the charisma to train his team. He brought shame to Safeway and is not qualified to be a manager.

7/12/16 Had to do some late night shopping or go without eggs and milk for breakfast. Chose to shop. Normally I don”t shop late at night, but this is Alaska and summer subsistence activities are a priority. I had my 4-year old and 2-year old with me because their dad is working out of town. My 4-year old had to go potty. We walk all the way to the other side of the grocery store and the public rest rooms are locked. I holler, “Is there an employee who can unlock the restroom door? Hello? I need an employee to help me! My little boy is going to pee his pants!” An employee checks through an employee”s only area doorway to see who is yelling, pays no mind and goes back to whatever he was doing. Customers look at me like I”m crazy. My son has to go potty bad and I see that the normally locked after hours entrance is unlocked. I take my son outside and instruct him to urinate on the wall beside the doorway. I am humiliated. I go back inside the store to see a young employee. I am angry and inform him my 4-year-old had to pee outside the front entrance and ask for the manager. Other customers are still gawking. The manager and employee both claim they did not hear me yelling. They tell me that there is another bathroom next to the pharmacy way in the back of the other end of the store. The manager apologizes and blames it on the junkies that the store now has to lock their main public restrooms. I leave and abandon my groceries in the store. My 4-year old and 2-year old sons are upset and crying because there were things in the cart they really wanted. My 4-year-old begs me to go back in and buy the groceries. I don”t want to ever spend another dollar in that store, but decide to pay for the groceries because I don”t want to go on another shopping trip to Walmart. It”s late and I”m tired. I decide that I will use the reference number on my receipt and raise awareness that locking the public restrooms is ridiculous. Walmart doesn”t lock their restrooms preventing customers from using the bathroom. 7/16/2017 Time:3:35 pm I went to Safeway in Prince Frederick to exchange six hair colors which were one shade too light. The manager (Assistant) Carrie Cianciolo told me she could not return them as I did not have a receipt. She knows for sure that all hair colors were marked down to 75% their original price and cleared out in all the Safeway stores. I asked if she could look up the items as I only have one credit card. She spoke with someone on the phone and then said that without the receipt, she do a “one time curtsy” and give me 50% off the listed price. I asked for her to exchange the items for the correct color. Apparently, she said they could not find that I shopped at Safeway before July and my name and phone number did not exist prior to that date. I have been a customer for 16 years and yet I did not exist to that woman! I took the reduced money card, thanked her and proceeded to get some organic bottled milk. As I walked down the aisle, I could not believe that awful nasty woman lied to me about the hair colors being on clearance! The shelves were fully stocked with the hair colors! I just wanted the right shade of hair color which were there. I went back to her and pointed out that the store still has the hair color and my shade of color. I reiterated that I did not want any money back. I just wanted the correct hair color which is one shade darker. She abruptly said she already gave me a curtsy and that is all she can do. She not only lied to me, she robbed me of half of what I paid for the hair colors! I told her I was a customer for 16 years but I will not shop at Safeway again. She had this smug look and said “whatever”. Is this how you treat your customers? My husband and I have served this community for 16 years and certainly do not routinely return items and thus do not save my receipts. I was appalled that just exchanging hair colors can lead to this conduct. I wonder, would she have treated me the same if I was not a Middle Eastern woman? It is a shame that Safeway has a policy of rude conduct and discrimination. Is this what customers can now expect from the Prince Frederick Safeway store with a manager such as Carrie Cianciolo?

8/28/18 while waiting in line for an extraordinary length of time, I noted that the checker has her right arm in a sling. She was obviously impaired by this and why is she allowed even to be at work??? I moved to another line and this checker asked me if everything was alright, I said no, she noted “well she has only one good arm” or something to that effect, the the other one good arm checker pipes in well the customer I was waiting on needed to check her prices and I had to make sure she was credited correctly.” First off NO employee with such an injury should be working as a checker, or for that matter at any position until she is well. Second, The correct response would of been, “sorry about that, lets take care of you.” that is all that needed to be said. This store had had a long history of crappy customer service and seemed to be getting better but now is again managed half-haphazardly. FRED MEYER here I come!

8/8/18 went to the Safeway store #215 at 377 Keahole Street, Honolulu, HI. 96825. i went there to order a maki sushi roll. The rude short asian gal working for AFC SUSHI (vendor) with pink hair named Myra has zero customer skills and should be removed. She told me she needs to know the exact name in order to make it. There was no flyers, nothing posted showing pictures, no brochure showing prices, bulletin board etc. I go on telling her that “i”m not japanese, so how can i tell you the name if i don”t know?”. She ends up making a sushi roll and said its futomaki. I asked her what was inside, no response. She hands me the container of 8 pieces. There were 2 pieces of my sushi on the board. I told her i wanted those pieces too. She said all i get is 8 pieces. She said it goes to the next customer. That”s hogwash cause they make it as they order it. I then tell her “why didn”t you cut the pieces bigger then.” No response. So then i said “your probably going to eat it yourself”. Then walked away and reported her to the store manager. Myra shouldn”t be treating any safeway customer like this, let anyone. Safeway doesn”t need negative people like this working in there store, especially a vendor.

A couple days ago I went to purchase chicken thigh economy pack. They did not have any. Inquired, should have more in the next few days. returned today, still didn”t have thigh in the package I preferred. Chose the hind quarter (leg/thigh) instead. Upon returning home to take care of the purchase I found the merchandise to be of poor quality. The skin was as yellow as could be, thus had to be removed along with all the pin feathers and all the disgusting remaining innards that hadn”t been properly removed. I have purchased hind quarters before but nothing like this. Needless to say I will never purchase hind quarters again. The thigh is my purchase of choice and if I can”t get good quality at Safeway I will go somewhere else. I am surprised in the quality Safeway has recently been offering.

After filling up gas for so many years at this station. I was very disappointed on what I had experienced recently. 2 Problems noticed: 1) Gas Station Credit Scam: 1-2 months ago, received a Credit Card scam on my statement after filling up gas at this location. I also heard other people report report of skimming problem on Next Door around our neighborhood 2) 2 Cars experiencing Engine/Drivetrain Malfunction: I have 2010 BMW 550i GT and 2019 E300 experiencing Engine Drivetrain Malfunction error recently in the past month. Car would vibrate violently and lost of power with engine check lights ON. I fill up gas for both cars at this location. I just bought brand new car less than 2 weeks (400 miles) and fill up the gas for the first time at that station. As soon as I drove off about 2 miles later started having problem.

After shopping at Safeway, Kensington, #410, 10th St NW, Calgary, I decided to use the self-checkout. The Safeway employee responsible for the self-checkout machines at that time was a Caucasian female, about 5″ 8″ in height, medium build with long curly blonde hair. The racial profiling occurred between 1:45pm – 1:55 pm on January 31, 2016. All the machines were being used, none of the self-checkout machines were working. A middle-agedfemale finished using one of the machines, the furtherest way from the female employee I just described. This customer had no problem with the machine, as soon as she finished, the female employee placed a sign on the machine to use the next available one. I was next in line. Once the female prejudiced employee placed that sign on the self-checkout machine, the next available machine was right next to her. I refused to move even though she came up to where I was standing and told me that that check-out was available. I allowed the lady behind me to use that machine and patiently waited for a machine closest to the main aisle to become available. While I was scanning my items, the machine that had been “closed off” no longer had any problems and was being used. Also with the change in staff at the self-checkout machines, were two female employees I think are from the Philippines. That racist female Caucasian employee looked at me waiting to use the self-checkout and wanted to “make sure” that I did not “steal” anything. She should be fired.

After Shopping at store number 1629 in Salem Ore, I noticed that I was overcharged for a bottle of gatorade. It should have been 69 cents and I was charged $3.38. I am retired and this may not seem like a lot, but for me, it is. I do not think that it was done on purpose. The wrong code may have been entered. I did not know how to address this as there was no way I could show that I did not buy this amount of gatorade. After spending more than 7 hrs in the ER for extreme HBP, I was treated for alcohol withdrawal on 11/12/18, I was given a prescription of chlordiazepoxide to begin the following day. I arrived at the pharmacy and was told it had to be ordered and would not arrive until after 6 pm the following day (11/14/18). I went shopping early in the day and asked the pharmacy if they could call me when it arrived. They proceeded to tell me the order never went through and now won”t arrive until Thursday. However they offered me the last 8 pills they had on hand. My question is this… why were those 8 pills not offered in the beginning? Would have got me started on my sobriety!!! And gotten me through until the order came in. Not to mention my HBP and not drinking.

All Safeway stores incorporate a form of control over thier employees called…secret shopper. We have to imagine each and every customer is the secret shopper. If you get pissed off because we are constantly repeating the same things over and over again it’s because we don’t know if you are the secret shopper and we do not want points against us. We have Atributes to memorize, Immediate attention, Greeting, Selling seggestion, Offer a sample, Product knowledge, close the sale, Escort, Parting comment. Some of these attributes have sub catagories all designed to get the most buck out of you. Not world class service. Get real it all comes down to points for the store that equate into money bonuses for the management. So when you come into our store and complain about bad customer service maybe you should concider the crap we put up with you because we don’t know if you are a secret shopper. Seen any “we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone” signs in the store?

Aloha, I often exchange propane tanks for my side business as a cook. I go to several stores for exchanging of propane tanks (Walmart, Home Depot & Safeway) And normally I will go at a decent time but sometimes I cannot get to the store at a decent time to exchange a tank. I rely on Safeway as the semi-last resort since the store is open 24hrs. There have been times when I almost couldn”t exchange the tank because a cashier didn”t know where the key to unlock the propane was but somehow we found someone. Tonight though, I am super upset because the manager was leaving or going on break at about 2am or so and said he couldn”t exchange the tank for me because he locked up the key for the propane tanks in the safe and he doesn”t have the combination for the safe. I asked him if he could call someone to get the combination but he said “no and they would t give me the combo over the phone” yet I don”t see why not since the safe was open for him to put the propane key in it! I”m extremely disappointed that this store is open 24 hrs yet can not accommodate, me, the customer with the exchange of propane tanks. There should be a sign stating that propane is available til a certain time if this is how you do business with the propane tanks. I believe I”ve been told in the past that only certain people are trained or allowed to handle the propane tanks. Although majority of Safeway employees are hardworking individual the store located at ”9620 28th Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98126” overnight stocker I believe he is of ”Mix Race” and ”iam a white guy(Writing this complaint) and I seen how this guy(another customer) was treated ; last night by this overnight stocker and not by the clerk but how the customer last night was not happy and the customer(Another) kept saying this worker who did not have a ”Name Badge” was hostile now I witnesses a cutomer get mistreated by this stocker(Mix race Guy) who had ”Wireless headphones in his ear” not the ”checker(heavy set guy) and whom was polite and respectful the entire time, but the worker(wearing glasses and wireless head phones was hostile and disrespectful) toward the other guy.. Apparently you have a policy about returns on baby milk but its not posted on or around any baby products in most of your safeway stores…I went to three different safeways…the one in arlington road, bethesda md…the one on georgia ave nw washington dc store 2808…and the on piney branch nw dc…nothing to inform the consumer they cannot return baby formula nor exchange…I think its false advertisement…and no one can show me in the store where the policy is written or printed…It should be posted above baby milk or customer service…also most of your products are always empty and apparently no one knows when shipments come in. I see why Giant is a competition…better practices and more efficient. Approximately a month ago I was shopping at Safeway in Apache junction az.store 253 *I think I was getting some meat sliced at the deli when I overheard the deli manager and a co-worker Dave Price talking about my wife who was also a worker in the deli Dave Price made the statement that my wife is either retarded or has a severe case of ADHD they did not realize I was her husband that they were slicing meat for so I told my wife my wife went to management and made it complaint what was done about it was nothing later that same evening Dave Price came up to my wife what came up behind my wife while she was alone in the deli put his arm around her and tried to start telling her to tell me not to be mad my wife tried to pull away he had snatched her back and held her tighter so she could not move and forced her to listen to what he was saying so my wife then filed a complaint with management and this is the outcome of it which I would be more than happy to explain to you and detail because it to me and everybody I know it is just unbelievable the final outcome of this is that my wife transferred to another store because it was too hostile for her to stay in that store a nothing was done to the store manager nor to the guy who physically put his hands on my wife the store manager and a human resources department totally took Dave prices word that what he did was meant to be friendly my wife was scared to death she still scared to death of him and they did absolutely nothing they didn”t even take him away from the store while they were doing their so-called investigation their so-called investigation did not even include an interview with my wife nor did they contact me about what I heard them say I”d like to believe that this is not Safeways stance on unwanted touching in the workplace throughout the the last month while all this was going on and my wife was being harassed she was lied to buy Jonathan the store manager when she went and ask what was happening with her complaint he told her you may never hear nothing he had a meeting at one time and gave her an ultimatum to leave the department. The final outcome is that my wife now has to drive or I have to take her about 9 miles to work where she only had to drive one mile she was getting on average 33 to 36 hours a week this week she has 16 hours on the schedule and this all happened to her because she filed a complaint now I”m not real big on getting lawyers involved and lawsuits and all that but I got to believe that there is someone in Safeway who”s willing to make this right by my wife one of the things that happened is my wife filed a complaint about them cutting her hours and giving them to Dave Price and this is what happened there the corporate Human Resources lady here had my wife on the phone and told her that they rehired a girl named Lorraine and what they were doing as they speak was reinstating her seniority so my wife didn”t have a complaint that has got to be the most ridiculous thing I”ve ever heard of do you all really condone doing something like that to solve a complaint I hope please call me at [protected] I really want to hear from you all and we”ll gladly go into all the detail you would like to hear thank you Stephen Brockman

Approximately two weeks ago or a little longer the potato chips were on sale for a $1.99. it was the Lay”s brand potato chips. The limit on them was 4. Apparently the coupon was only for one time use. I didn”t use the coupon before nor have I ever bought any thing from that store in over a week. I addressed this issue to the checker then she called to her manager which was the manager Francine. she told me she couldn”t do anything about it and rudely walked away. any other store or any other manager would have just didn”t an override and I know they can do this because a similar situation has happened before. I even told her why can”t you just do an override and she just ignored me and continue to be rude. I did tell her that she was a terrible manager and that I was going to complain about the issue. The next week I went to the store with my service dog. I am disabled and my dog is registered with the Department of Justice. The same manager was in there (Francine) she walked up to me and told me there”s no pets allowed in the store I told her I said she”s not a pet she”s a service dog she had her service vest on. Instead of asking me what type of Duties does my service dog perform she said whats your disability? I told her that”s none of your business you are not supposed to ask that or address me in that manner. Then she said she can”t ride on the cart. I said fine I”ll make her walk then. Not only is this manager unprofessional but she is purposely pointing me out and picking on me when I go into the store now. I feel that this is not going to be the only complaint I have on her and I believe every time I go into the store she”s going to have some things to say about my service dog. I don”t think this lady should be manager she does not have the customer service skills or communication skills to be in this position.

Around 205 today I was shopping, i stopped by the watermelon to check prices, as I walked away I slipped and almost fell (I”m pregnant, due in less than 3 weeks) I looked down and saw a smashed mess of watermelon on the ground. As I exited the Safeway restroom, I was approached by two intoxicated east Indian females who started to abusively accuse me of the filth left in the restroom. I politely let them know the toilet was in disrepair before I used it. One intoxicated female proceeded to order me to clean the toilet …as I realized they weren”t joking, I asked them to behave and maybe watch the vodka. They continued to order me to find them help, which I found very rude and bizarre that they would treat a stranger this way…as I decided to walk away, the security guard who is also east Indian walked by…the intoxicated female loudly told the guard that I had soiled the bathroom, I might add the feces was dried and visibly had been smeared for quite some time…at this point I felt under attack. I assured the guard the drunk girls were verbally abusing me. As I asked for the manager he appeared from the swing doors directly behind us, he is also east Indian, another east Indian employee also joined the scene. They all refused to address the intoxicated females, and tried to shift some blame to me. One of the girls began to step right into my personal bubble and wave her arm, she felt safe to escalate, being that she felt protected on racial terms by the rest of the group. I was very shocked at how neglectful, and unwilling they all were, to say even one instructive word to the two girls, they all laughed at me, and took turns shooting sharp comments at me as the girls laughed on. I strongly believe that I was abused and neglected, on racial grounds, and the staff present, failed utterly at providing professional assistance. As i was checking out with my daughter, who is a 9 month old baby. An old man bagger was talking to me, making small talk. as i looked away putting my groceries up to be scanned, i looked back at the cart and my daughter was making goos and little noises at him, he looked at me and said “That thing was flirting with me” I felt completely disgusted and i did not think it was funny, or at all okay to joke like that. Referring to my daughter as a “thing” I personally will not be shopping there until i am positive that creep does not work there. He was an older man 50-60″s. I could not believe my ears that he thought that was funny. Not to mention he was complaining about how many groceries i had bought and how he didn”t know how to fit it into my cart.

As you can see by my Loyalty Card number, I am a very frequent customer and I spend a lot of money in your store on 20th and Washington in downtown Denver. I want you to know what happened to me today is now up on my facebook page and getting a lot of neighbors upset. Walking into the Safeway this morning to get some things for my kids” school. See a man by the door about to ask me for money. His opener: Hey fine thang! And the rest of what he says is a blur, because in that moment I feel deep disgust, embarrassment, and anger as I am forced to decide between 3 options, pretend I”m ok with it and say hello back, ignore him completely. or tell him off. I ignore him knowing it will still be taken as a [censor] move, and as I walk into the store I realize I am already afraid to leave and possibly have to buffer the comments he”ll throw at my back as I rush to my car. That”s when I see the security guard, so I go up to him and say: Hey the guy outside made me really uncomfortable and now I”m afraid to leave, will you ESCORT me out when I”m done? Well the guard immediately goes out the door to see who I”m talking about and is looking around like he can”t see anything so I go back out too, feeling emboldened with the guard there, and the man is still standing there acting like he can”t see us. So I say: Hey I don”t like it when you tell me you find me attractive, I don”t know you and it”s intimidating. He says: What? I didn”t mean anything by it! It was a compliment! And I say: Well next time keep it to yourself, women don”t like that. And I go back in to shop. When I”m done I pass the security guard again and ask: Is he still out there? The guard says: No, but ma”am I gotta tell you, you should really take that as a compliment. And my blood is immediately boiling all over again! I say: No, I shouldn”t have to take it at all, it makes me feel like an object, I feel objectified and intimidated when strange men on the street think they can comment on my body. He says: Well it”s not against the law. I say: Neither is being rude but that doesn”t mean you should be rude to people! He says: Well this is the world we live in and you need to get used to it. I say: No, I don”t want to live in this world, I want to change this world for my daughters” sake. I shouldn”t have to feel this way. That”s not on me, that”s on him, and as a security guard, you should have my back, so thank you sir, good day. And as I walk away he yells: You need to take a chill pill! Of course, because if a woman does not want to accept her subordinate status in life she is a hysterical [censor], another SEXist affront. So I yell back: That”s rude also! And he yells: I don”t care! So I”m wondering if this security guard represents Safeway”s view toward the millions of women that spend their money in your stores and if you”ve taken steps to train your male staff members on how to best serve and protect your female customers. Because the #metoo movement is looking for a business to boycott and I”d be happy to recommend yours. At check out, my 21-year-old son brought beer to the counter and presented his driver”s license, which revealed that he turned 21 years old 14 days earlier. In Arizona, one has 30 days before he/she needs to have a new driver”s license indicating he/she has turned 21 years old. The cashier, Tenley, was very rude and told me that I could not purchase the beer because of my son”s driver”s license. A manager was called and had to explain to the cashier that my son didn”t need to have a new driver”s license until 30 days after his birthday. A long line formed during this entire episode, and my son was humiliated. I became angry, and the cashier continued to be rude and belittling to my son. I asked the cashier to apologize for her mistake, and the best she could do was say “I”m sorry you”re upset.” She could not bring herself to say “I”m so sorry for the scene I created and embarrassment I caused you and your son.”

At Safeway in mill valley store #788 1 Camino alto mill valley ca 94941 I purchased 2 items yesterday and the cashier named Mary charged me more money then the items cost, she purposely didn”t give me my receipt, and yes I did put in my club card, today I purchased the same items and paid with card but this time she did give me my receipt. She pretended to scan the items yesterday, from the look at her reactions today and yesterday it is obvious she is doing this on purpose to acquire a certain amount of money in her register to take home every night. At your South Lake Tahoe store there is an employee named “Miguel” who was rude to me on Super Bowl Sunday that he made me cry. He was written up for it and the very nice manager ended up offering me a $25 gift card. A couple weeks later my friend came up to Tahoe to visit me and he went to the Safeway here to get some food. When he came back he had no food..he said there was an employee named Miguel that was being so mean to an elderly lady with a disability; he told the man to stop and left his food in the store with him ; after he was told by this man that it was not his business. My friend said he would never go there again. I asked what his name was: he said Miguel! He also said he did tell someone at a register that Miguel was very rude and hostile to this woman; telling her to not go through the self-check out if she cannot figure it out. He did not say it nicely either. This is the same kind of behavior I encountered when I tried to go thru the self-check out that Sunday; he told me very loudly that I could not go through with any alcohol ( one beer) and he humiliated me by loudly telling me that I could “call the manager” if I wanted. But I didn”t until he kept embarrassing me in front of other customers, by being so loud about it. How can a Safeway have someone as an employee that verbally abuses customers? How and why is he still allowed to work for such a chain as Safeway is? I really couldn”t believe it when Miguel stared at me after another cashier called the manager for me over the intercom; he immediately stared at me with a big smile on his face, but in a hostile manner. I told the cashier and she laughed. Unbelievable. I am afraid of this mans hostile and agitated personality; he seems to be on drugs or something. I do not feel safe to ever be near him again; but I need to shop at Safeway! Why do I have to deal with someone like him at all; when I am spending my money there often? Raley”s customer service is so much nicer and professional; but they often cost more! As for my friend, he really needed those groceries he had in his cart (and so did I); if he does not eat enough he gets Pancreatic attacks; it really ruined our day and he could have gotten deathly ill due to being too upset to buy his groceries. He was very angry that Miguel acted like that and even argued with my friend about it. I thought Corporate should know about how an employee like Miguel is treating those that dare to come through the Self-Check Out stand. He seems to especially like being rude to white- haired older women like myself. I personally felt like he was being hateful to me; because he was. I wonder if he was being racist because I am not Hispanic and I was alone. I was being kind to him, but it did not help. The manager who wrote him up on the Super Bowl day was very empathetic towards me and professional; it made me cry to know he cared. My friend saw him mistreating a woman sometime around Feb. 19th. This store needs to make customer service a priority and fire people who drive away customers and give “Safeway” a bad name. I have never encountered this problem my whole life at any other store; especially Safeway where they are usually great at being nice to customers. This is a serious problem when people are bullied by a short, stocky, angry, loud-mouthed man who likes to pick on women!

August 10, 2017 When the new Safeway opened, I was excited to have a new store on East West Highway at 3702 East-West Highway in Hyattsville Md. Unfortunately, shopping here since its opening has been a gross disappointment. I often find outdated products on the shelf. For example the Starbucks coffee in the dairy section was dated July 27 expiration date. I often find outdated yogurt products on the shelf as well. When I asked in “Lawrence” in the Seafood dept. the difference between two types of shrimp and he replied that I would have to call corporate headquarter to get that information. When I got to the checkout counter there was only one non-express lane opened. This was around 6:00 pm on a Thursday. I will think twice before shopping here again.

Bancroft Ave San Leandro California. Rude, dirty and that staff should be fired. I boycotted a long time ago. Prejudice. The word is being passed along to boycott this location. Do yourself a favor and close it. Giving your brand name a very bad reputation. I can make it 350 words. Staff roll eyes, talk to each other while checking people out about personal business. Most unprofessional establishment and it draws a bad crowd. They know they won”t get cops called on because the staff and obviously manager don”t care

Been buying Crystal Light for several years. The latest purchase in weak and the packaging is for 5 pitcher packs instead of the old 6 pack. I know you have changed the formula for the Lemonade, and it isn”t even close to the quality just a few weeks ago. So disappointed in your change in the product. You were #1, but now you aren”t even in the race. So sorry.

Been playing since it started but find out may 3rd no more games pieces available even though game ends the 8th not the 3rd. So is this just a scam to get us in the store? How can you run out when the game is not over. So now there is no chance at all. I feel deceived. I don’t think I’ll be playing anymore nor using this store. Savemart here I come. Shame on you guys.

Beware!! 5/26/18 at 10:30 AM. I walked past a table in the middle right where you walk in and there was 3 cakes that had strawberries on it with mold!! That is so disgusting. They also have some of the same cakes in the bakery but they are on the cold table. Makes me afraid to how old this cake is. Not going to be buying any “fresh” food here anymore.
