Sales Success International

Mr. Sean Dowling came by our Real Estate office in Houston, TX after calling ahead and scheduling an appointment with us. He briefly went over a few sales techniques and also used them on us to get us to agree to pay for $500 two year memberships to Sales Success International. He gave us a pamphlet listing 4 seminars in Houston in 2009 alone, and also said that we could attend any of the many other seminars throughout the U.S. We were very motivated to learn by some of the nation’s top sellers. The first seminar got rescheduled for sometime in October which was when the second seminar was going to be. It was to include himself, Blaine Athorn (Memory Mastery), and a couple others. Instead, Sean said he was too sick (poor guy) to do the seminar, and so Omar Periu took the reigns. At this time, we still thought this was a legitimate company, so we went ahead and paid for Omar’s program as well. Siince then, all I’ve gotten from him are these online recordings trying to get us to spend more money. Now, there was supposed to be another seminar hosted by Tom Hopkins on March 11th in Houston. I emailed SSI to ask them whether or not the seminar was still happening, and I received an auto-response stating that they have claimed bankruptcy. This was a scam from the get go, so I hope these people don’t just change their names and start scamming a new batch of people.
