Security Group of Texas

My situation with this company is very unprofessional and discriminatory. I was working for Security Group of Texas for about 3 months. They are a private security company that did not pay properly and follow the law. This was my first official job. I never took any security quiz, sign any disclosures, rules or regulations, I never had an interview, I only had a background check. When I received my first check I tried to cash it and I was told by multiple banks and check cashing locations that they did not cash checks from Security Group of Texas because they have always had insufficient funds. I was paid from an envelope with a personal computer generated check with no hours listed, no medical nor Taxes taken out. The checks always had to be picked up every other monday after 4:00pm but before 5:00pm, and if the time frame was missed, the only other times we could pick up our checks were whenever we could catch the receptionist. Another issue with the company were most of the personal information about the supervisor and the receptionist not following any proper procedures with hiring personal family and friends to work for them. There are a lot of unprofessional and illegal things going on. I was never absent from work but one morning I was on my way to work and my car stopped in the middle of morning traffic at a red light and would not start. I finally was able to move my car from oncoming traffic and able to call in but instead of any warning he fired me right then and there. I live more than 10 miles from the location I was working so for my safety I drove back home since I was closer. I was never given any notice, or warning about being terminated. The day I went to turn in my uniform I was told I could not get it because it was with another employee and that I was suppose to get it the next morning. I feel like I was being discriminated against as well as the company is doing something illegal therefore I would like to file a report. Drucilla R, Dallas, Tx
