26.09.2019 I have rented a car with Sicily by car in Cagliari. On my arrival the car was not the requested one and we found no one to inspect the car before departure. 24h later the electronic key stop working and on the return of the car 29.09 2019 we had been charged 350 euro without full diagnosis or inspection of the key. This has been explained as a standard procedure for any malfunction of the key. I don’t believe this justify the extremely high cost as we did not misused it.

Accertamento Di Violazione n. 2562068/2019/P Pr. 231202/2019 I recently recently received an email on Monday, January 10, 2020 about an apparent traffic violation from November 9, 2019 in the Commune of Pisa. I am not sure what the violation was for because it is all in Italian. I drove through Pisa and parked for a short time in an authorized spot. There was no ticket on the car when I returned. If this was indeed a parking violation, how can I let the parking authorities know there must have been an error? I also don”t know how to pay this fine because once again it is all in Italian. I was also told that I am being charged an additional 50 Euro by Sicily by Car for their trouble, i don”t believe this is fair because the email didn”t even come from Sicily by Car and there is extreme confusion on how to proceed. After renting a car at Milano airport in June the car we rented broke down (technical problem with the gear). We were at about 1, 5hour drive from the nearest Sicily by Car rental station at that moment. Sicily by car only made sure the car came back to them by towing is away. We where then stuck without car. The receptionist from sicily by car said we someway should get to a rental station so that the car could be replaced and all taxi cost (220 euro) would be refunded by them, i should send them a mail wich i did the next day! So, this is wat happend then: I send them a mail when i got home – no reaction at all! I again send them a mail no reaction at all! I never got my money (taxi cost) back unfortunately It also took them about 2 month to refund my depesit.

Apparently I received a traffic violation returning to the airport at the end of my rental. Rental contract no. [protected], date 18/09/2019 17.25, vehicle number plate FW408VR However the information came from a completely unrecognisable address “ufficiomulte.sbc.[protected]@pec.it ” and as a result went into junk email – it was only by chance that I discovered it, but as a result I missed the opportunity to pay the reduced rate for the fine (now paid) and it was an additional 60 Euros. Your communication should be clear its from Sicily by Car and I would request that you waive the 50 Euro administration charge to compensate for the additional cost caused by your poor communication. Dear all, We had a rental contact with you in january 2020 and we had a damage consisting in a broken windscreen. You have all the details in the attached invoice and rental forms. Although you charged us for the windscreen, we didn’t receive any invoice in order to be able to go the insurance broker that we paid when we reserved the car online. We were also offered insurance which we initially agreed to. Contract has been signed. After verifying the details of initial booking we came back to the office immediately informing that we should not have been offered an insurance – since we already purchased a full cover – and that we therefore would like to resign from the doubled service. Our request had been denied by the sales representative handling the case. We were also denied the right to speak to his supervisor. We believe we were a subject to dishonest sales approach and kindly ask you to refund the insurance surcharge filed by the Tirana Airport Representative on the 9th of August. Once i delivered the car i was informed that no extra fees will be charged and i have paid a larger amount than expected, and today i get a notification that “sicily by car” has withdrawn the stated amount from my visa card. Hello, I rent a Peugeot 308 on 4/1/19 from Milano Linate airport and I return it on 12/1/19 on Torino Caselle airport, on the name Cnobloch Gerhard. The registration plate is FN712TP, rental agreement [protected]. On my way to the airport the car had a flat tyre, we changed the tyre with the spare one, but due to this incident we arrived very very late at the airport and we didn”t have time to refuel the car. I explained this to the lady at the desk and she told me there is no problem, the full tank will be charged on my credit card. The Sicily by Car employee ask me for the car key to check the car, he left in the parking place and when he came back he told me that everything is ok, so I signed the paper and I left. In 15 min I receive an SMS from the bank that you charged me 400 Euro!!! When I took a look on the paper I saw that there is a small “X” at the section “new damage”. This is not correct – the car is 100% ok, I drove it til Val Thorens and back and 7 days the car stood in the garage of the hotel. I took a look at the car when I arrived in Torino Caselle and there were no scratches on the car, it was everything ok – exactly what also the Sicily by Car guy was confirmed me after he went in the parking place to check. If the car has damages I would like to see pictures, because it is 100% not true. Please return the 400 euro back to my account and charge only the diesel, as we discussed together at the reception desk. I attach the contract. My telephone number is +[protected] and email gerhard. Hi I have rented a car from Rome Airport via Economycarrentals.com booking voucher Number EC43283C and Sicily by car Confirmation Number [protected] from 28/6/2019 to 7/7/2018. I have been charged again and again similar amounts on my credit card on 29/7/2018 and on 6 Sep 2019 by Autonoleggio Auto Europa for Euro 65 approx at my same credit card visa ending 9285. HI, I recently hired a car for Alghero Airport. And I was waiting for the deposit for more than 2 weeks and finally when I received it, 100euros were missing. The customer service said that we return the car later than expected. This was not true at all. We were there on time but cause no one explain us where to return it. We return it in the same location from where we picked it up. And there was there employees from sbc tin the location where we return the car and no one said anything. At the airport counter the lady said it”s ok if you still have time before your flight, could you please return it to this park (another location in the airport) and she explained us where to return the car on the airport map in a piece of paper. I”ve already paid 140 pounds for the rent that they did not accept cause they did not have the right car model that i booked i paid to upgrade 225 euros more + 300 euros in deposit (cause i used my debit card, as my first booking was not accepted) and finally they took 100 euros more from my deposit. No final invoice, no proof, nothing Please, can you help with that. Thanks

I rented a car at the Lamezia airport on July 15th 2017 and returned the car on July 22 as per the contract. I have the return document indicating that the car was returned with no damage or exceptions. On the 25th of September I received a notice from my credit card company that I had a charge pending for $107.73 from Auto Europa mule-fine. This is a complete rip-off as I did not get any violations of any kind while in Italy. I have instructed my card company that I wish to contest this charge. Please forward me all information regarding my supposed violation, date, time, location, city etc. as I plan on contesting this rip-off of a tourist to your country. I rented a car in Naples Italy for one night – it did not have a full tank of gas when I rented it and this was noted on the check out form – I was told return it with same amount of gas. I drove the car one night – 70 km. Returned it next morning after adding about 2 liters of gas (3 euro). Check in lady at airport said everything was fine, deposit was returned. COuple of days later I see a charge from the company on my credit card. I booked through booking.com and asked them what the charge was for and was told it was for refueling. I called Sicility by Car – got a person who told me they had to put 20 liters of gas in car. I asked for copy of frattura for the refueling and a copy of the final reciept to see the odometer for my check out and check in (to show how many kilometers the car had been driven) He tells me he can’t help and to email customer. I rented a car on 23.10.2018 from sky scanner (invoice nr bg-b21255754) I paid 93, 5 (36 + 57, 50) euro (including full coverage) when I went to sicilyby car desk at the bari airport they charged ” 133, 46 euro (they said full coverage is not valid in bari so, they did again) As a result I paid twice full coverage, I am not satisfied with this situation. I rented a car through sicily by car in October in Catania airport. I was charged a deposit which upon returning the car I was told will be returned to my account in 7 days. It’s been 3 weeks and nothing. I have sent emails and no respond. Horrible company. Not sure how should I proceed now. I’m not in Italy anymore. I rented a car through Sicily by Car rental company 12.09.2019. To my surprise I was additionally charged 360 eur for 12 days rental period (20 eur per day) since I used debit card instead of credit card. Plus I was made to pay 300 eur as deposit. I decided not to use the car for all the period and returned it 14.09.2019 (in 2 days) and I was said that the rest of my extra charge (300 eur) plus deposit 300 eur should be transferred to my card account during 10 working days. After more than 1 month I have not still received my 600 eur! I have already written to 3 e-mail addresses but there is no any answers. The last e-mail address that I received from SbC employee by phone is [email protected] but there is no reply for more than 4 days. I rented a Fiat 500 from Sicily By Car/Auto Europa Rent A Car on 19 Jun, 2015 for 1 day. I got a quote through DoYouItaly for 23 euros, I opted for the additional insurance of 15 euros, and was not able to refuel before returning the car. We did 105 kilometers which I calculate fuel of about 6 litres at a cost of about 10 euros. I expected my bill to be about 48 euros, yet the amount on my credit card is about 95 euros. My DoYouItaly voucher number is DYI-[protected], the Sicily by Car documentation has numbers 156942 and 2481438. I have emailed repeatedly to get a credit but I am being ignored.
