Hired Sunrise Roofing, Pittsfield, Ma, to replace outside porch door, and remove old roof, replace plywood, and install new roof on 8′ X 8′ hatchway. Most of the cost was up front. I was told the check needed to be made out to “Stanley Mitchell”, not “sunrise roofing.” They stated they were a professional contracting company, registered, licensed, and insured. None of this is true. They used a hammer and a crowbar to remove the door, destroying all the new siding around the door. They covered over all the layers of old roof over rotted plywood, with a sheet of roofing material. They spilled tar over the siding and the new concrete. So far, I’ve spent over two thousand dollars to repair the damages, and it is not finished. These people take all the money they can from you, pretend to be professional, then completely destroy your home.
