I was approached at my business by a college football player from Elon University. He said he had an exciting new way to promote my business to all of the students on campus. He stated he used this app called Campus Special and I could purchase a space on the app for my business for $499.00. He said flyers would be given out to all the students and any business that signed up with them would have flyers at there locations to cross promote. After a month or so the same student contacted me saying he did not receive my payment. First Red Flag. I explained to him that I wrote him a check for the $499.00 the day he came to my business and provided him with the check number. He said it was his mistake that he must have misplaced the check. Well needless to say the check was deposited at a later date. I was told i would have pictures videos and a link to my website on the app. After checking the app I found that was not the case. I attempted to contact him to no avail. There is no phone number for this company, because they are scam artists using college kids to sell this horrible misleading product! I finally had to lie and say i was interested in an internship in order to speak with someone with the Campus Special orginization! They told me they would fix the issues immediately which was never done! I spoke to another business owner in the area about Campus Special and she said she had the same issues. In fact she made a delivery to the campus cafateria and observed unopened boxes of the flyers sitting on the dock. She took pictures for proof! This company is A RIPOFF! Do Not Do business with them! If they spent as much time fulfilling the promises they make to the customers instead of recruiting new college students to sell this crap, they probably would be a good company! Stay Away From Campus Special!
