VF Corporation

I was contacted by VF corporation in regards to a job posting I replied to available for Corpus Christi TX. I cannot locate the posting any longer. He pretends to be Mr Matthew Shattock, their Independent director. I looked him up before proceeding communications and they ARE using an existing company it seems. So everything checks ok from the beginning. He will first email you a summary about the position as an assistant to him. He includes typical clerical duties with a $500 weekly salary. Once you respond, next email is about if your phone receives text messages and how often you are online. He asks for your contact information to supposedly pass on to HR, since he is out of town on business. After I responded with an “alternate” address, he will email you a contract to sign. It’s extremely vague, which raises a huge red flag before even thinking about signing. He doesn’t even wait for you to get contract back or anything. He wouldn’t schedule and interview or a call, super red flag! He messaged me the next morning, “How was your night?” Who does that? He then includes instructions on how to head to my bank and cash the check once you receive it in the mail. Oh and it arrives quick! quicker than amazon. Typical scammer game, come on. Right after you receive, you begin to receive URGENT text messages for you to complete the deposit. I played along telling them I’d get to it. They grow really and extremely inpatient and rude if you take your time. Which we are talking about a matter of hours, he wants you to stand up and do it. But they had no problem wasting my time while looking for a job to feed my family. .
