Thifty Rental Car

My wife and I arrived at the Albuquerque, New Mexico Airport’s Thrifty Rental Car terminal on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 @ approximately 2:15 pm. The counter person on duty and with whom we dealt identified himself as David. Prior to our travel we contacted our credit card company and automobile insurance carrier. Both assured us we were covered for liability, comprehensive and collision and should waive all car rental u201coptionalu201d coverages. During checkout while reviewing Thrifty’s rental agreement we noticed a $313.38 charge for Loss Damage Waiver which David said included collision coverage. We emphatically told him that we contacted our insurance company and credit card company and were assured we were completed covered. David instructed us to: 1) Decline Collision Damage Waiver and 2) Decline Loss Damage Waiver; 3) Pay the extra fee for the waivers While attempting to tell David this information he said four times he had Geico automobile insurance and it is required by Thrifty.
