volution.com markets a $10/mth Plan but hides the fact that a new merchant must pay for SSL (no one can sell a product without secure encryption) and a myriad of other fees, including an extra $25 if there are NO transactions in a month. volution confirmed it cancelled the Plan part of my account Aug. 7 and stated I would receive one last bill for August. Then I received a bill for September well after volution transferred the money out of my bank account. Not making everything clear when starting an account and when cancelling an account – that the transaction part of an account must be cancelled as a separate process – is marginally legal but highly unethical. An ethical company has software that detects when an account has not been completely cancelled and notifies the customer….not volution. volution committed fraud. It charged me $10 on my Sept. bill even though they acknowledged the plan was cancelled in August. They refuse to reimburse me. Another part of their fraud is a internet gateway fee of $17.99, PCI DSS Compliance fee of $3.41, fixed acq network fee 1 of $3.50, and Reg Comp fee of $3,77. I only found out after seeing a strange charge that I was being charged an extra $25 when I had no transactions in a month, when volution had nothing to process. They explicitly market plans starting at $10 but do not disclose clearly and upfront what are all of the other fees it heaps on a merchant. volution refuses to credit me for at least Sept. fees, including the cancelled Plan fee of $10. I have now read a large volume of reviews from other former merchants who expressed very similar experiences and treatment.
