Report Filed: Wholesale Merchant Processing WMP withdrawing money from my account after being closed for 2 years. Beaverton Oregon!!
2 years ago I was contacted by phone to allow a sales person to drop by my store and give me information on credit card processing. I allowed this person to come to my store and he was able to convince me that his company had lower rates and would supply a new processor free of charge. I reluctantly signed up with TJ, he was the same saleman that works in the Cincinnati area. Once everything was sent to me and everything was set up I was shocked to find that my money was not deposited into my account within 1 or 2 business days as I had been used to in the past. My former company was very diligent about getting my money deposited the next day. I called the customer service number to inquire about this and was told that this option was not made upon my signing up for the service (after being on hold for 12 minutes). They said they would change my status from standard to premium and that would resolve my issue. The next day it was still the same way, again I called but could not reach the same customer service rep that I talked to the day before so I left her a message. She did not return my call. I called again and spoke with another customer service rep and she stated someone would get back to me. This went on for a few days and I even called the sales rep TJ and he said his boss would call me back. No phone calls were ever returned. I called the company I was with previously and they immediately returned my services without any fees and no contracts. When I called WMP and cancelled my service they said there would be a free of $395.00. I told them I would not pay any fees since their customer service was so poor. I wrote a letter and talked to several people and complained and they said that they would waive the fee and so further action was taken. I closed my business in April of this year due to poor sales but kept my account open in order to continue to pay off debts only to find that $1288 was deducted from my account by WMP. I cannot express how furious I am over this and also find out that this is happening to other businesses. I will do whatever it takes to take this company down. This is outrageous.
